His enthusiasm for electronic music started at an early age when his eldest brother experienced Tangerine Dream in concert performing Phaedra in the '70s.Exposure to this intriguing music continued throughout Colin's childhood. In the '80s, Colin bought his first analogue synthesizers and started to explore this playground of sound exploration. Some years had to pass with other task until Colin released his first album in 2002 with the help of Dave Law. With this and along with radio play, a wider audience got aware of Colin in the United States, Australia, Japan and Europe. After his third release, SynGate started to release his albums. Colin is motivated by the limitless sonic playground of electronic music. Delving deep into these musical avenues is creativity without boundaries. Now that he has gone down the rabbit hole of modular synthesis, he is adding new sonic textures to his music and finding huge rewards in combining it with more traditional analogue sounds and sequences.-            Особая благодарность: startide

From the enormous glaciers that dominated vast areas of mountainside, to some of its huge ice fields. The canyons in the south and the dramatic ‘lenticular’ clouds, that engulf the mountain peaks. With more than enough visual stimulation to feed my musical passion, this was a project that I worked on throughout 2003. I tried to move my music forward, giving it a harder, more dynamic edge, while still retaining the understated lyricism of the tracks on Twenty4. On a number of tracks, I collaborated with bass player, Ashley Stark. Having previously worked in isolation, bouncing ideas around with another musician was a revelation. In fact, many of the tracks moved into musical areas that I would probably never have explored. Before committing the result to the final mix, we premiered four of the tracks at Blissfields - an open-air music festival that took place in deepest Hampshire. Be it a still image, moving image, or indeed sound. How would slowing down and modifying some moving footage in some way affect a musical composition, when the piece had been originally made specifically for it?
