« Sessions » is an album that marks the end of a cycle for me. It gathers various recordings done before 2016 with the studio’s old configuration. I rediscovered these tunes recently and I found them interesting enough to share them with you. These tracks, a bit rough, reflect various moods and moments that aren’t particularly linked to each other. This will be followed by the acquisition of a keyboard where he will make his debut and discover this type of instrument for himself. It will then be born a passion for this style of music and it will be by the acquisition of new electronic instruments that it will end up improving.
If he does not think about composition but plays first for his pleasure, he will nevertheless gradually surround himself with professional machines and seek to master these technologies which are evolving very quickly with the arrival of digital technology. It is by discovering the electronic music of the 70s that MoonSatellite will take the plunge into composition. Heir and not imitator, his work will be part of the continuity of soaring music, in a word the Berlin school (Berlin Schoo). We can cite Klaus Schulze and Tangerine Dream for example, there are so many of them and they all brought their style. The discovery of these masters will allow MoonSatellite to take an interest in the mythical synthesizers of the time and to acquire in turn this famous electronic instrument making: analog synthesizers. From this meeting will be born his first album Sequenzer (2009) which will be quickly noticed by amateurs thanks to the Internet or his videos. He will join the same year the association Patch Work Music already bringing together the French talents of this so-called progressive electronic music, a generic term implying very varied styles (New Age, Atmospheric, cosmic, experimental music ...); there are well-known artists: Bertrand Loreau, Olivier Briand, Alpha Lyra alias Christian Piednoir, Awenson, Jean-Christophe Allier, Marc-Henri Arfeux… Faced with this unexpected success, MoonSatellite thinks it has found its way and form of expression. This music, with particular codes, is the means of communicating one's emotional interiority by setting up dreamlike atmospheres making a bridge between the conscious and the unconscious; the listener is invited to appropriate this universe by projecting there the images and feelings that he wishes, surely revealing a little of himself. In 2011, MoonSatellite signed an album, Missing Time, with MUSEA DREAMING, thus marking a new stage in its journey. New albums will follow in self-production. He will give his first concert in Nantes in 2011 as part of the Pach Work Music Association. To mark the release of his album Low Life, he will give two concerts with his friend Alpha Lyra in Nancy, of which a double live album will offer a sound memory. The duo will perform again in 2014 at the E-Day Festival organized by Ron Boots. Today MoonSatellite continues its sound quest...“Hoping that you will have as much pleasure listening to my music as I took to do it”.
