Do you have the ability to share "Time Capsule 6th 808 Box (10th Anniversary)".
I tried to get it but the share service timed out [Turbo] - TMF2.0 has it atm, no doubt its easier to get from wherever they got it. I'll try again - fingers crossed it completes but free slow download services aren't great for 1gb+ files. Thanks fort the previous 3, I have enjoyed them a lot. If only the first 2 would appear Maybe 1 day.*Update* RE the audio quality of the tracks from the share I found of "Time Capsule 6th 808 Box (10th Anniversary)". Quality seems below par for supposed vinyl FLAC rips. Either bad vinyl pressings (unlikely), inferior hardware (again unlikely, anyone buying Vinyl in box sets is most likely able to afford a reasonable deck, dac etc used to rip the vinyl. I think, it's more likely worse, the hated and dreaded up-scaled codec from a low bit rate mp3 to flac, as I ran 10+ random tracks through both SPEK & Spectro and the all were flat topped, solid colour (no graduation in spectrum or any peaks or troughs across each and every track I tested at a very clear cut 20khz (unlike the 3 here that reach as high as 30khz and have natural looking spectrum graduation as well as track to track variations) . Even if the spek/spectro outputs were interpretated incorrectly, the audio simply sounds bad, - thin, harsh and "missing", as if clipping occured and someone attempted to treat it - certainly far from mp3 320. No doubt we all can hear the difference between an mp3 at 320 kbps versus 192 or 256 so FLAC to low quality stands out very clearly versus genuine FLAC rip or purchase. So in short - if anyone is considering locating the 6th edition from the source i mention [tmf] be wary, and perhaps only download a 100mb tester so you get enough data to extract 2 or 3 tracks so you can hear for yourself if you wish to wait for the entire 2.09GB. Pity, i'm quite dissapointed as I'd love to listen this in the same quality of Vol 3,4 & 5 shared here, in glorious 24/96. Peace. |
