A Prequel (if you will). This is a collection of Dub inspired tracks recorded entirely in the A432hz tuning. There is much online to educate yourself regarding this kind of music however that knowledge is by no means a prerequisite to your enjoyment (or lack thereof even!). There are many theories that suggest that this kind of music resonates very differently to the standard, mainstream a440hz tuning. However, the more I am exposed to it, the more I realize that much of the music I love myself was actually recorded, or at least performed, in this tuning anyway. I reckon, as I have said before, that its great music for playing in the background while you do other stuff. It is not intended to make any statements or to cover any topics. The songs simply try to reflect the things I was feeling and experiencing during the 12 or so months I worked on these compositions. Love, Loss, joy, Lust, Desire, Confusion, Happiness and Sadness all appear in turn but, ultimately, it is more important that you experience your own emotions in response to it... That would bring me joy indeed.
It was produced in Logic Pro X using both synthesized and live instruments. Where possible the instruments have been tuned to A432hz and in the instances where I have forgotten to retune or where someone else has joined in, it makes for an interesting dissonance!
