Feast your ears on four supersensory sonic offerings, which were originally inspired by the extremely profound metamorphosis and pervasive life alteration that Whitebear has undergone and overcome, over the past year. Within this resplendent release, we hear the distinct development and elemental evolution of Whitebear’s signature sound, as he experiments with tribal percussion, mind-expanding sound sculpting and earthshaking musical techniques. From the first note of the title song, it is evident that each tune has been imbued with a sense of higher purpose, to guide the listener to a state of centralized clarity, and ultimately, ensue equanimity. However, these tracks are just as powerful and hypnotizing, on the dance floor, as they are intellectually stimulating and spiritually uplifting. Forewarning, the bone-rattling bass and galactic glitches that underlie these psychedelic, auditory adventures will cause one to be enraptured, and dance until night begins to embrace light. On songs such as Depth Charge, an indescribable amalgamation of Jazz and mid-tempo, broken beats is epitomized. A heaping dose of ivory tickling, from a Rhodes, assures the soulful sway to this unstoppable groove. We are also given a taste of fellow up-and-coming Australian producer, Auma, and his reinterpretation of “Depth Charge”, which seemingly takes on a more so upbeat and pulsating polyrhythm. As the song progresses, it melds marvelously into a dreamlike Dub aesthetic, and playfully augments and inverts the most significant component of the track, the bouncing keys. This release also features a Whitebear remix of Tara Walsh’s song, “White Flag”, that tugs on the heart strings and contrasts the depth and darkness of ‘Transmute | Release” and “Depth Charge” with its heart activating, nostalgic vibrations. This subversive & charismatic young fellow from Mid Wales (UK) is also the mastermind behind, Brujo's Bowl. A project which has provided the progressive trance community with an eclectic bass & techfunk hybrid form of Zenonesque prog. His two projects are of a similar sound, and although they're not of the same bpms or style. They're both bound to a course with the same intention. In this release, Saxon shows to us a tool which he was unsure to show at first. But decided that the message sung deemed it worthy. Track three, 'Solid Soul'. A minimal drum and bass feature with a twist of conscious lyricism, technical sound design and tactile textured bass lines, betrays yet another glimpse in to the extensive tastes that Saxon is inspired by. The five other tracks take on the form of Bass Music & Deep Dubstep. Each with it's own vibe and hypnotic, perpetual crescendo. 'Mood Movement' and 'Rune Stone' bring on a techy dub and chord marauder high. Loaded with perpetual grooves and deepness that'll make those closed eye lids flicker along double time to that tappin' toe. 'The Lesson' and the remix of Circular's 'Constructive'. Recuperates the mind, body and soul by representing the importance of ritual and ceremony. Emotional and evocative, passionate and true. With bass lines to rattle the lungs within their ribcage. Last, but certainly not least, 'Sailor'. An experimental piece, that drives forward upon a half time Psytrance beat. Technical squelches and sound design accompanied by a few addictive licks from Saxon's accordion. Hence the name, 'Sailor'. In the near future, there is to be an assortment of 'Sailor' remixes due for release on Saxon's label, Triple Drop Productions. But we do know that children are disproportionately affected in times of crisis- and often suffer most. It is with great pleasure that we announce the release of Shanti Planti's 2nd V/A Compilation titled "Middle Peace". Shanti Planti and the artists involved with this project have devoted much of their time and craft to create an incredible collection of conscious frequencies in a bid to raise funds to help the organization SaveTheChildren provide immediate emergency relief, healthcare, education and protection for children where necessary. STC creates Child-Friendly Spaces for children to safely play and learn, even in the midst of crisis. Unique among emergency responders, Save the Children stays as long as it takes after crisis strikes, helping children, families and communities recover from their losses and rebuild their lives. For this compilation we will be focusing on raising money for children and families in the Gaza Strip that have been ravaged by recent conflict. We plan on making this an annual affair and hope to build a strong partnership with the SavetheChildren Foundation.
