В 1986 году на лейбле Z Records выходит второй альбом группы — What Do You Know, Deutschland?. My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult. Black Box – Wax Trax! Records: The First 13 Years; KMFDM — «Son of a Gun», «Stray Bullet», «Waste» — были размещены на личной странице Эрика Харриса. Первым релизом возрождённой KMFDM стал вышедщий в феврале 2002 года мини-альбом Boots с кавер-версией песни Ли Хезлвуда «These Boots Are Made for Walkin'», известной в исполнении Нэнси Синатры. What Do You Know, Deutschland и Don't Blow Your Top. В мае 2014 года Конецко анонсировал на странице KMFDM в Facebook выпуск трёх новых релизов: концертного альбома We Are KMFDM, студийного альбома Our Time Will Come и сопутствующего сингла на песню «Genau (The German In You)». Our Time Will Come In the fall of 1984 Sascha Konietzko and Klaus Schandelmaier (who became more widely known as En Esch in 1988) were approached by Peter Missing from NYC who took temporary residence in Hamburg at the time, to book a club show, come up with material to perform at said show, and gather a few musicians to round up the outfit. The show took place on 11/25/1984 at the Kir Club in the old Max-Brauer Allee location.
From left to right: second drummer in the background (name not available anymore), Florian Langmaack on saxophone, Sascha Konietzko on bass, Peter Missing on vocals in the foreground, Klaus Schandelmaier on drums in the background and Uwe Bastiansen on guitar. The day after the show KMFDM sprung for a recording session at Frontline Studios, the result of which is presented to you here, free of charge. Truly a document from the very early days of KMFDM's 36+ years of history. Tracklist:

There were only a handful of cassette copies made. The album was re-released in 2002 by KMFDM Records. It was originally recorded in Hamburg, Germany.
Opium is one of only two KMFDM studio albums (Nihil being the other) that does not feature cover artwork by pop-artist Brute!. Opium was originally released in a limited run of cassettes and distributed through the Hamburg club scene. In the early 2000s, the original 8-track tapes were salvaged from a house, after surviving a fire and years of sitting in damp boxes. This had left them in a damaged state. Sascha Konietzko salvaged what information was still intact on the tapes, and then set about re-creating the tracks. This included reprogramming drums on some tracks with the original sounds, or sounds close to the original. Sascha said that Opium would be the "missing link to 'Where did KMFDM even come from in the first place?'," which he said would be missed out if a listener began with What Do You Know, Deutschland?. KMFDM - Mating Sounds of Helicopters (6:28) Opium is what some believe to be the debut album by KMFDM, originally released in 1984. It is not that, however, it is so much more. Opium was originally circulated among a group of fellow-patrons in the underground scene of Hamburg in 1984 as a home taped run of a handful of cassette-tapes. There never existed any actual master tapes, let alone any professional equipment to record the album. In the early 90's, one of the original cassette tapes, sharing a sealed leaden box with a rotting sausage, was salvaged from a WWII air-raid-shelter, flooded with sewage during the aftermath of a fire which had ravaged the building above. The tape, though not in perfect condition, contained everything that Opium would be, the "missing link to 'Where did KMFDM even come from in the first place?'," which Sascha Konietzko said, would be missed out on, if a new listener to KMFDM began with What Do You Know, Deutschland?. Opium shows the roots of KMFDM, from the bold experimentation and dissonant sound effects, but contained within these tracks is the wellspring from which the KMFDM "ultra heavy beat” was born. released October 22, 2013 ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1 What Do You Know, Deutschland? is the second album by KMFDM, released in 1986. The album was recorded in Hamburg, Germany.
What Do You Know, Deutschland? was recorded from 1983–86, with some tracks recorded before En Esch had started working with KMFDM founders Sascha Konietzko and Raymond Watts, some even before the band officially formed in 1984. Originally released by Z Records in Germany in 1986 with different artwork, the album was re-released, including songs from the "Kickin' Ass" single, in 1987 by SkySaw Records in the United Kingdom. In 1991, Wax Trax! Records released What Do You Know, Deutschland? in the United States without "Zip". "Zip" was later released on the compilation album Agogo. A remastered reissue of What Do You Know, Deutschland? was released September 12, 2006, featuring new liner notes and photos of the band. Tracklist:

Vocalist Raymond Watts had left the group midway through the recording of the previous album, Don't Blow Your Top. Multi-instrumentalists Sascha Konietzko and En Esch brought drummer Rudolph Naomi on board, who had previously worked with the group in the mid-1980s, along with reggae vocalist Morgan Adjei. UAIOE was recorded in Hamburg, Germany at M.O.B. Studios. UAIOE was released in 1989 on Cash Beat Records in Germany, on Deutschland Strikeback Records in the United Kingdom, and on Wax Trax! The next phase of the legacy begins, KMFDM are back to kick your brain's ass all over again. ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1 Naïve is the fifth album by industrial rock group KMFDM. It was released on November 15, 1990. It was recorded in Hamburg, Germany upon KMFDM's return from their first visit to America and subsequent tour with Ministry. It was also the first record that they released after signing directly to Wax Trax! Records.
The album was out of print for over a decade due to copyright infringement: the seventh track, "Liebeslied", used unauthorized samples from a recording of "O Fortuna", from Carl Orff's 1930s cantata Carmina Burana. The album was recalled approximately three years after being released. Copies today are rare and considered collector's items. In addition to this, "Godlike" samples "Angel of Death" by Slayer and "Go To Hell" uses the same riff as Metallica's "Metal Militia", although re-performed (and possibly just a coincidence given how simple the riff is). All of the tracks on the album, except for the original mixes of "Die Now-Live Later", "Liebeslied" and "Go to Hell" were subsequently available on other discs. The album was re-released as Naïve/Hell to Go, with some songs remixed, in 1994. A digitally remastered reissue of Naïve was released on November 21, 2006, along with Money and Angst. It was reissued with an edited version of the track "Liebeslied" without the offending sample. It also features the remixes that initially appeared on Naïve/Hell to Go. Tracklist:

Album was released on Bandcamp on June 5, 2020.
Bandmates Sascha Konietzko and En Esch had a falling out at the end of their 1990 tour with My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult. Each was given the funds to record one side of their next (and presumed final, at the time) album, Apart. Both worked in the same Hamburg studio, M.O.B., with engineer Blank Fontana and guitarist Günter Schulz, but never interacted with each other directly. After the two halves were combined and pressed onto an album, Esch's half was rejected by Wax Trax! Records's executives, who didn't think it sounded like KMFDM. The record company gave Konietzko additional funds to record more songs. He finished the album Money by including new remixes of previously released material. A number of other tracks intended for the album Apart ended up on other albums or singles. Tracklist:

The album ended up using only Konietzko's half, along with additional songs. It received mixed reviews, but spawned a number of club hits. It went out of print in the late 1990s and was re-released in 2006.

The album was mostly written by band leader Sascha Konietzko, who emphasized a less guitar-driven sound for the release. Nihil's first single, "Juke Joint Jezebel", is the band's most widely known song of all time, with millions of copies sold over various releases. Widely praised by critics, Nihil is the band's best-selling album. After the original release went out of print, a remastered version was released in 2007.

It was recorded in Chicago, Illinois, from the end of 1995 through early 1996, shortly after the death of Wax Trax! co-founder and band friend Jim Nash. Xtort features a variety of guest artists from the industrial music scene and studio musicians from other genres, but includes limited participation from core member En Esch.
The album was massively promoted by TVT Records, which pressed tens of thousands of free copies of the first single, "Power". Band leader Sascha Konietzko created his own form of promotion, issuing a press release that both disparaged and lauded the coming set. Xtort was generally well received by critics, with many calling it superlative, and is the highest charting and KMFDM album to date. The next phase of the legacy begins, KMFDM is back and still better than the best! ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1 Adios is the eleventh studio album released by German industrial band KMFDM. The album was originally conceived as the group's parting shot to its longtime record label, Wax Trax! Records, but it ended up also signaling the break-up of KMFDM itself until the band reformed in 2002. Recorded in Seattle, Washington, this was the last album to feature En Esch and Günter Schulz, who both went on to form Slick Idiot. Following the break-up, founding member Sascha Konietzko created the band MDFMK, before reforming KMFDM in 2002 without Esch or Schulz.
The album was released on April 20, 1999, on the same date the Columbine High School massacre took place. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the two perpetrators of the massacre, were both avid KMFDM fans. Eric Harris noted the coincidence of the album's title and release date in his journal. A digitally remastered reissue of Adios was released on May 8, 2007, along with Symbols. Tracklist:

KMFDM leader and founder Sascha K. plays ringmaster of a musical circus that features Ogre (Skinny Puppy), Tim Skold (Shotgun Messiah), Raymond Watts (Pig), Bill Rieflin (Ministry), Michel Bassin (Treponem Pal), Nina Hagen and Abby Travis. While KMFDM has never been about singles and radio play, Symbols does contain the hit singles “Megalomaniac” and “Anarchy” and Adios features the club and live performance favorites “DIY” and “Adios”. These albums have both been given the deluxe treatment which includes all new booklets. The Symbols booklet is an explosive 28 pages and the Adios booklet has been expanded to 24 pages, both bursting with exciting new material. All KMFDM Classic re-releases have been digitally remastered, presenting their songs in a quality previously unavailable. Documenting the history of KMFDM the accompanying CD booklets all include the original album art (most by famed KMFDM co-conspirator Brute!), in-depth liner notes, quotes from Sascha K., lyrics for each song, never before seen photos of the band, full recording and production credits and more. All work on these releases, from the remastering to the packaging, has been done with the highest level of participation from Sascha K. These releases join KMFDM’s first eight albums, What Do You Know, Deutschland?, Don’t Blow Your Top, UAIOE, Naïve, Money, Angst, Nihil and Xtort which are already available from Metropolis Records. Look for more KMFDM Classic releases soon. It was recorded in Seattle, Washington. The album was also the last to feature Tim Sköld in his original tenure in KMFDM.
The album was originally going to be titled Attaq and written in a Middle Eastern font, but was changed after the September 11 attacks by Konietzko, who explained that the band's history with the Columbine shootings would have made the original title "pretty fucking harsh". Tracklist:

The songs primarily attack George W. Bush's presidency, various US wars in the Middle East, and America's foreign policy. The last track, "Intro", introduces the members of the band. It was recorded in Seattle, Washington.

KMFDM - Intro (4:36) At first glimpse, KMFDM’s WWIII is an inspired, concussive affair. The junior-Bush-led, second Iraq-war had given KMFDM plenty of fuel for its fire, and this album finds Sascha and co. at their aggressive, confrontational best. Yet upon its' imminent re-lease in late 2013, nothing feels dated here; it sounds as urgent and angsty as you like your KMFDM to be. This album was originally released in 2003, KMFDM's second release with the then-new line-up, following 2002's ATTAK, and it presented a stance angrier than ever, yet still able to bring KMFDM’s trademark wry sense of humor, as evidenced by the track “Intro” closing out the album by describing the band with the line “a beautiful girl and some dirty old men…” With Kontributions from Lucia Cifarelli, William Rieflin, Raymond Watts, Jules Hodgson, Andy Selway, & Steve White and the ever-present Sascha Konietzko. KMFDM - Auf Wiederseh'n (6:14) KMFDM have been blending and bending musical genres in the underground scene for more than 21 years. While Sascha K. claims (tongue firmly in cheek) to be ''the Father of Industrial Rock'', KMFDM have in truth crossed over to rock, metal and dance fans alike. They have returned to Metropolis Records to release their newest album ''HauRuck''. As for the singing on this album, Lucia unleases a spectrum of vocal styles and Sascha K spews his own trademark, ''bad-ass'' attitude. Lyrically thought provoking, yet humorously ironic, KMFDM skewer the world and themselves with each stab. Throwing out all misconceptions of the band and the genres they are associated with, this is the most powerful and innovative album that KMFDM has ever created. KMFDM produced and mixed the album themselves and were even involved in the mastering process guaranteeing a sonic redefining of their signature sound. From the spoken introduction of the album to the closing track, KMFDM show exactly what some hard work can accomplish. Ruck Zuck, which loosely means ''Right Now,'' joins the tradition of KMFDM's classic EP releases on May. The 9 track EP contains over 40 minutes of music including remixes and never before released material. Favorite tracks from Hau Ruck appear in totally reworked versions by members of KMFDM as well as by Nude and by infamous Dwarves frontman, Blag. KMFDM continue to create ultra heavy beats with a sly dose of political irony on their cover of DAF's dancefloor classic ''Der Mussolini.'' ''Ansage'' closes out the disc with a German spoken word soundscape that mirrors the tone of our times. It was recorded in Seattle, Washington.
The word "tohuvabohu" is derived from the biblical Hebrew phrase "tohu va bohu", meaning "without form and void" or "chaos and utter confusion", which was used to describe the state of the earth before creation. The band describes its usage of the term as meaning "wild and chaotic". "Superpower" uses samples taken from phone calls made by fans to a phone line set up by the band. Additional samples from these phone calls were compiled on the track "What We Do For You" on Brimborium, a companion remix album. Tracklist:

KMFDM - Bumaye (4:47) KMFDM, now in their 23rd year, remain a musical entity to be reckoned with. Through relentless experimentation and reinvention they have continued to unleash a barrage of songs that allow their fans to dance with abandon, bang their heads or dissect the band’s cuttingly cunning lyrics – sometimes all at once! KMFDM’s new album on Metropolis Records, Tohuvabohu, is no exception. ‘Tohuvabohu,’ an Old Testament word meaning “wild and chaotic,” perfectly captures the spirit and energy behind the tracks contained therein. Sascha Konietzko, the band’s founder and leader, conducts his army of analog synths and wields his razor sharp lyrics and vocals. Chanteuse Lucia infuses her tracks with a fiercely powered urgency alternating with soft beauty. The KMFDM core remains solid as ever with Jules Hodgson, Andy Selway and Steve White providing the cranking guitars and forceful beats that KMFDM is known for. While staying true to the Ultra Heavy Beat, Tohuvabohu also dares to venture into new territory, ultimately destroying everything in its path. The album offers up servings of dance (“Looking For Strange”), metal (“Saft Und Kraft”) and industrial (“Spit Or Swallow”), along with the somewhat unexpected elements of darkwave (“Tohuvabohu”), sweeping epic (“Bumaye”) and even rock/pop (“Fait Accompli”). Tohuvabohu adds to the growing list of languages sung in the KMFDM catalog – Latin, Hebrew, Lingala (an African language) and Spanish can all be found within. The Spanish language cover of Liaisons Dangereuses’ dancefloor favorite “Los Niños Del Parque” provides a perfectly retro/electronic departure as one of the album’s most memorable tracks. Continuing the band’s one of a kind relationship with their followers, Sascha K. invited the fans to participate in the creative process via the Fan Phone. For a couple of weeks fans from all over the world called in and recorded stories of what KMFDM means to them. Kapt’n K., as he is known to the devoted horde, wove their voices throughout the album’s opening track, “Superpower”, demonstrating once again that KMFDM belongs to the people (and vice-versa). KMFDM invites you to celebrate chaos with Tohuvabohu. “Get ready, set, all systems go!” ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1 Brimborium is a remix album by the industrial rock band KMFDM. It features remixes of several tracks from 2007's Tohuvabohu, one remix from Hau Ruck, and the new track "What We Do for You", which consists of voice messages from the KMFDM Fan Phone and whose title references the band's 1993 hit, "Light". KMFDM - What We Do For You (9:14) KMFDM, on the cusp of their 24th year, present their first full blown remix album ever, Brimborium. The album features 13 tracks and clocks in at over 73 minutes running time, offering dancefloor freaks and ultra heavy beat fans a disc that is packed with remixes and never before released material. Brimborium contains 11 remixes of tracks from Tohuvabohu (KMFDM’s 2007 release), a remix from 2005’s Hau Ruck (never before available on CD) and one new track (created from fan’s phone calls). The remixers include none other than KMFDM themselves – with entries from Sascha K., Jules Hodgson and Steve White. Also featured are remixes by past KMFDM opening acts – Combichrist, DJ? Acucrack, 16 Volt and Angelspit. Additional remixes by industrial music pioneers Die Krupps, future electronic superstar Velox Music and Icon Of Coil/Zombie Girl legend Sebastian Komor round out the high-caliber list of contributors. Brimborium can be loosely translated as “something with no meaning or value”, perhaps a comment on most band’s approaches to a remix record, but not so with KMFDM! Aside from an all-star cast heavily reworking tracks on the CD, the accompanying booklet features explosive new artwork from Brute! and liner notes that tell the behind-the-scenes story of KMFDM’s Fan Phone. Brimborium features double doses of Tohuvabohu’s most popular tracks, the title cut and “Looking For Strange”. The album’s one all-new piece is called “What We Do For You”, a title lifted from a line in the band’s hit song “Light”. This new audio collage is built out of samples from some of the best (and craziest) calls KMFDM received on their Fan Phone during the recording of Tohuvabohu. It also marks the first use of five letter song titles and a five letter album title since WWIII. The album charted after its release, as did the song "People of the Lie". Blitz had songs written in three different languages, and was moderately well received by critics. Most of its songs were remixed for the band's next release, Krieg.

KMFDM - Take'm Out (6:51) Celebrating 25 years of the ultra-heavy beat, KMFDM proudly announces their new album on Metropolis Records, Blitz. Blitz heralds the return to the five-letter album name, an 18 year tradition that the band obliterated with their recent ten-letter name albums, Tohuvabohu and Brimborium, in 2007 and 2008. Blitz contains 11 new sonic blasts from the Kapt’n and Krew, tipping the scales at over 52 and a half minutes. Under the direction of KMFDM founder, leader and vocalist Sascha K., Blitz is dominated by analogue synthetics with high-powered hooks. KMFDM’s female singer, Lucia, lends her vocal power to the groove-laden “Bait & Switch”, the dance-driven “Never Say Never” and others. The tracks are rounded out by some assistance from the KMFDM line-up of the last half-decade - Jules Hodgson, Andy Selway and Steve White. One surprise element of Blitz is the return of wayward KMFDM-er Tim Skold, lending a hand throughout with instrumentation and production. Another unexpected re-appearance comes in the form of singer Cheryl Wilson, dueting with Lucia on the disco-amped “Strut”. No strangers to naming things with unpronounceable icons, Blitz leads off with a track known only by a symbol. This image pervades the Blitz album artwork, pointing to a message for those who look closely. The Blitz artwork also features a powerful and riotous cover illustration by long-time KMFDM stalwart Brute! Adding to the growing list of languages sung in the KMFDM canon (English, German, Latin, Hebrew, Lingala (an African language) and Spanish), KMFDM breaks new ground with “Davai”, sung in Russian. Of course there is still room in the catalog for another German language track and KMFDM delivers with “Potz Blitz!” Joining the pantheon of illustrious KMFDM covers is The Human League’s seminal new wave juggernaut “Being Boiled”, given the full-on electro treatment by Sascha K. Blitz provides the complete KMFDM experience, running the gamut of the band’s expressive styles and themes, from the ultimate irony of “Bitches” to the political militarism of the final track, “Take’m Out”. KMFDM invites you to experience full blown chaos with Blitz, the ultimate blast! ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1 Krieg is a 2010 remix album by industrial rock band KMFDM containing remixes of songs from their 2009 album Blitz.

The regular line-up of Sascha Konietzko, Lucia Cifarelli, Jules Hodgson, Andy Selway, and Steve White was joined by a handful of musicians from other industrial and alternative metal acts. The album took about twice as long as usual for the band to produce, and underwent a significant amount of modification during its recording.
WTF?! reached No. 8 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Its first single, "Krank", hit No. 15 on the Billboard Singles chart, while its second, "Amnesia", hit No. 3 on the Deutsche Alternative Charts. Critics were generally very positive about the album, and while some felt the album was relatively creative, most felt it stayed close to the same formula the band had used for years. Tracklist:

(5:21) Never one to shy away from asking the tough questions, KMFDM gives voice to the inquiry that is on everyone’s lips in these twisted times - WTF?!. WTF?!, the band’s new album released on Metropolis Records, joins the ranks of their many records titled with a five character name. WTF?! features 11 brand new songs, including the album’s lead single Krank, KMFDM’s latest anthem. All in all Käpt’n K. and his Kadets provide over 50 minutes of guaranteed musical mayhem on this new release. Conducted by KMFDM founder, leader and vocalist Sascha K., who believes this is his most powerful and dominate sonic statement to date. KMFDM’s female singer, Lucia, proves her vocal prowess on the dreamy yet driving “Dystopia” and the super-charged revolution-themed rocker “Rebels In Kontrol”, which has already made news as a protest song in support of Wikileaks. Continuing the band-based formula of recent years, KMFDMers Jules Hodgson, Steve White and Andy Selway round out the roster. It will come as no surprise to followers of KMFDM to learn that WTF?! is laden with contributions from Kompatriots far and wide. Static-X guitarist Koichi Fukuda can be found shredding on the noisy “Come On – Go Off”. William Wilson of KMFDM Record’s Legion Within lends his vocal talent to “Spectre”. Picking up where Blitz’s “Strut” left off, the disco-fueled “Take It Like A Man” showcases Lucia dueting with Free Dominquez of Kidney Thieves. Sebastian Komor of Komor Kommando and Icon Of Coil’s production on multiple tracks as well as input from stray KMFDM member Bill Rieflin top off this impressive list. While this is not their first album title to contain a question mark (that would be their 1986 debut album What Do You Know, Deutschland?) this is the first to feature an exclamation point. Regardless, it was only a matter of time before this happened as few bands make more sloganized exclamations than KMFDM. The WTF?! artwork features a humorously suggestive, yet ultimately destructive cover illustration by KMFDM contributor Brute!. A fitting visual for this sly but brutal release. On WTF?!, listeners will find a new addition to the menagerie of languages employed by KMFDM (English, German, Latin, Hebrew, Lingala (an African language), Spanish and Russian) as the band further proclaim themselves citizens of the world with “Panzerfaust”, sung in Italian. This time out KMFDM break their own formula of including a cover song on the last three albums. WTF?! is pure KMFDM through and through. With WTF?! KMFDM once again has given notice to the mainstream that “Whatever you stand for, we do not!”, be prepared as, “It’s a f**kin’ takeover!”. For those who dare to ask WTF?!, you have been warned, KMFDM take no prisoners. released April 26, 2011 ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1 Kunst (German for "art") is the eighteenth album by industrial band KMFDM. Kunst features contributions from guest musician William Wilson and Swedish band Morlocks. The album cover was designed by longtime KMFDM cover artist Aidan "Brute!" Hughes. He said the album cover, a "chainsaw-wielding amazon", which Facebook removed from KMFDM's page, was created to support Russian punk rock group Pussy Riot and Ukrainian protest group FEMEN. The song "Pussy Riot" was also written in support of the former. Tracklist:

KMFDM - I ❤ Not (4:33) February 26, 2013 sees the release of KUNST, the latest offering from KMFDM, the purveyors of The Ultra Heavy Beat. "KUNST" is German for "ART", fitting for a band that has spent three decades conceptualizing its own brand of art war against the establishment. KUNST is bombastic musical graffiti, showing the band making another indelible mark on the walls of society. Sascha, Lucia, Jules, Andy & Steve kick things off with the snarky title track, instant payoff for long-term fans and newbies alike, then delve into freakadelic mayhem, seamlessly blending their anarchic signature sound / themes with elements of punk, industrial and EBM. KUNST is the passageway into the very abyss, the unknown depth of a staple we took for granted over the years, commonly known as KMFDM. Relentlessly pouncing headlong into tracks named "AVE MARIA", "QUAKE", and, as a show of solidarity for the jailed Russian punk band, "PUSSY RIOT", KMFDM expose the underbelly of societies' shortcomings, tracks such as "HELLO", "PSEUDOCIDE", "ANIMAL OUT" and "I <3 NOT" show that entering into its 30th year, KMFDM is definitely "doin' it again", but catching us off-guard this time around! Contributions by Swedish cult band MORLOCKS and LEGION WITHIN's William Wilson add further fuel to this fury, THE MESS YOU MADE and NEXT BIG THING are rock-solid statements against the eroding forces that leave no rock unturned in the effort of undermining our societies, yet stalwartly we stand united, counting down the days until February 26, 2013! released February 26, 2013 ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1 To celebrate thirty years, KMFDM set off on a pair of tours in 2013.

From there the band rips through the gamut, from the infectious slap bass of SHAKE THE CAGE, the uptempo hallelujahs of SALVATION, the seething menace of BLOOD VS. The album features the band's new core line-up of frontman/principal composer Sascha Konietzko, frontwoman/principal writer Lucia Cifarelli, drummer Andy Selway, and guitarist Andee Blacksugar, along with guest performances from Doug Wimbish, Cheryl Wilson, and on-and-off longtime collaborator Raymond Watts. KMFDM - No God (3:53) 24Bit With 2019 marking 35 years of conceptual continuity, KMFDM is showing no signs of slowing down or mellowing out – on the contrary, the Ultra Heavy Beat is as fired up and as energized as ever with the release of the band’s 21st album, PARADISE! Long revered for their innovative blend of virtually all forms of music into a monolithic juggernaut of industrial/rock, topped off with scathing and confrontational lyrics that challenge the social and political zeitgeist, KMFDM is at the top of their game as this latest album hosts some of the band’s most diverse material. From the abrasive hip-hop stylings of “K-M-F,” to the dark alt. rock ambience of “Oh My Goth,” the dub-meets-electro/metal assault of “PARADISE” and “No God,” and the mechanized industrial/dance energy of “Automaton,” “Disturb the Peace,” and “Megalo” (a new rendition of the band’s classic “Megalomaniac”) – KMFDM leaves no stone unturned as the album calls for revolution against a world overrun by fascism, authoritarianism, and violence. Helmed by founder and frontman Sascha “Käpt'n K” Konietzko and Lucia Cifarelli, delivering their searing and brutal vocal performances like liquid daggers, and backed by the percussive fury of Andy Selway, KMFDM is joined by Black Sugar Transmission’s Andee Blacksugar lending his angular guitars to give the seething bite of PARADISE just that extra shot of venom. Of course, what would a KMFDM album be without a few guest performances? For PARADISE hosts some of the most impressive in the band’s history. Doug Wimbish (TACKHEAD, Living Colour) returns for another round to lend his electrified funk bass skills to “Piggy.” Longtime alumni Cheryl Wilson brings her soul mama vocals to the disco-infused “WDYWB,” while rapper Andrew “Ocelot” Lindsley delivering an all-out verbal assault on “K-M-F.” But if that weren’t enough, fans will undoubtedly be overjoyed as “Binge Boil & Blow” finds the Lord of Lard himself, Raymond “PIG” Watts returning to the KMFDM fold for the first time in 16 years ! Fascism is in fashion again, and the planet is a paradise for assholes… and KMFDM will have none of it! KMFDM’s message is as relevant as ever, and PARADISE may be the band’s most powerful outing yet, demanding that you live with no regret, don’t look back, find your destiny, destroy what destroys you, and rip the system! released September 27, 2019 foobar2000 1.2.5 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1 Reggae and dub mixes of previously released songs.

Kmfdm - Para Dub (3:21) 24Bit KMFDM, commonly regarded as one of the driving forces in what we generally term industrial/rock since their formation in 1984, the band has been so much more, incorporating elements of so many musical styles to result in what they themselves refer to as the Ultra Heavy Beat. The 2019 release of PARADISE was a bold statement on the precarious state of the world, with the heaviest infusion of funk and dub sounds the band has exhibited since such landmark albums as 1988’s UAIOE and 1990’s NAÏVE. Now in 2020, KMFDM takes this to the next level with IN DUB, reinterpreting a selection of the group’s best known songs of their over three-and-a-half decades spanning career into a blistering display of chilled out grooves and spaced out atmospheres. With a long history of addressing political issues and encouraging social revolution, it is fitting that Sascha “Käpt’n K” Konietzko should reach back to some of KMFDM’s earliest roots in dub music and present a fresh take on what it truly means to “Rip the System!” “Everything old is new again,” sings Lucia Cifarelli on “Real Dub Thing,” and so perfectly defines the power of IN DUB. Mosh pit anthems are reimagined into a bevy of meditative grooves laden with strident horns, shrill organs, and slithering bass lines as on “A Dub Against War,” “Hau Dub,” and the opening “Dub Light.” Andrew “Ocelot” Lindsley’s incendiary rapping on “K•M•F Dub” and Cifarelli’s vicious and vivacious vocals shine brightly on tracks like “Superhero Dub,” “Amnesia Dub,” and especially on the in-your-face electrified sonic assault of “Rebelz Dub.” Throughout the album, Andee Blacksugar’s accompanying guitar textures and angular solos add that extra dash of audio intrigue, making for one of KMFDM’s most unique outings. As the world is held by the tightening grips of pandemic and sociopolitical upheaval, IN DUB proves that KMFDM remains as powerful a voice for revolution as ever. Angry yet hopeful, tranquil yet energetic, IN DUB is by no means a mere remix album – this is KMFDM looking back to its original inspirations to make a pure and honest statement that the world no longer need be a paradise for assholes. “Dub and reggae music has been one of the greatest and most constant musical influence to me, I have been nurturing the idea of making this album for so many years… and here we go !” - Käpt’n K Written by Ilker Yücel / ReGenMag released August 21, 2020 foobar2000 1.2.5 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1 Hyëna is the 21st studio album by German industrial rock band KMFDM, released on September 9, 2022.
Due to the release of the prior album Paradise in September 2019, the time between Paradise and Hyëna represents the longest gap between KMFDM albums since their formation. Tracklist:

KMFDM - In Dub We Trust (4:07) 24Bit KMFDM has forged its own singular path over the course of 38+ years, continuously refining and redefining the parameters of modern music, while also never missing the opportunity to address the social and political zeitgeist in brazen, belligerent, and boisterous fashion. HYËNA marks the 22nd studio album from the Ultra Heavy Beat, and what title could be more appropriate as the band laughs mockingly at the frayed and frantic state of world affairs. Driven by the vicious and virulent vocal onslaught of founder Sascha “Käpt’n K” Konietzko and Lucia Cifarelli, the aural and angular guitar wizardry of Andee Blacksugar, and the forceful percussive thrust of Andy Selway, HYËNA blasts through the speakers with the force of a napalm airstrike. From the hip-thrusting rock & roll swagger of “BLACK HOLE,” the in-your-face industrial/rock of “LIQUOR FISH & CIGARETTES,” and the funky hip-hop overtones of “ROCK’N’ROLL MONSTER,” to the punky thrash metal fury of “BLINDFACE,” the sardonic blackgrass whimsy of “DELUDED DESPERATE DANGEROUS & DUMB,” and the irresistibly danceable electro of “HYËNA” – KMFDM remains as vital as ever, never afraid to assimilate any musical style, all the while keeping the lyrical talons sharpened and poised to strike against any and all injustice. Several members of the KMFDM family return to leave their indelible marks on HYËNA, like guitarist Jules Hodgson, rapper Andrew “Ocelot” Lindsley, and Bruce Breckenfeld on the Hammond B3. On top of that, Sissy Misfit appears to add a decidedly venomous digital hardcore flavor to “ALL WRONG – BUT ALRIGHT,” leaving Kumar Bent to close us out with the familiar yet fresh dub take on a KMFDM classic on “IN DUB WE TRUST.” HYËNA is a maniacal laugh in the face of maniacs who assume control, desperately trying to convince you that what you see, what you hear, what you read is not real – don’t you believe it! Nearly four decades on, KMFDM continues to keep it real for you as HYËNA proves to be among the group’s leanest and meanest efforts, feeding fuel to the fury! released September 9, 2022 foobar2000 1.2.5 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1 Tracklist:

It is KMFDM's most widely known song to date, with around three million copies of the song sold in various forms.
"Juke Joint Jezebel" was initially released on February 28, 1995. After the release of Nihil, a second version of the single was released with additional remixes by Italian record producer Giorgio Moroder. The Canadian release of Juke Joint Jezebel: The Giorgio Moroder Mixes includes a bonus CD titled The Year Of The Pig Collection, which feature one track each from KMFDM's previous six studio albums, as well "Fuck Me" from Sin Sex & Salvation. "Juke Joint Jezebel" was also released on a 12" entitled Year of the Pig. One of the two music videos for the song uses animations extensively from the Patlabor 1 manga movie. The original version of the song is in the 1995 movie Bad Boys, while the "Giorgio Moroder Metropolis Remix" of the song is featured in the Mortal Kombat movie and soundtrack. Both soundtracks eventually went platinum. The album version of the song can also be heard in the "Home is Where the Tart Is" episode of Beverly Hills, 90210. The original single version was re-released as a 7" in 2009. On October 25, 2010, "Juke Joint Jezebel" was made available as a downloadable song for the game Rock Band. Tracklist:

In 2007 the original tapes were "baked" in order to play them one last time before utter tape deterioration set in, the tape machines were fired up yet once again and both tapes were recorded (and thus digitized) into Protools, perfectly synched via SMPTE. Finally, after unearthing the believed-to-be-lost session files in early 2021, it was mixed yet one more time. We did not manipulate anything at all on a digital level, there was no "Auto-tuning" applied, we didn't move things around, did not replace any of the original sounds, no "corrections" of any kind were made, all we did was mix it "with fresh ears". KMFDM - Day of Light (24-7 Mix) (4:58) “Achtung! Here we come . . . with another dirty bomb!” Get ready to Krank it to 11 as KMFDM proudly announces their first new single in over 9 years - Krank. To be released on March 8, 2011, on Metropolis Records, Krank follows in the grand tradition of KMFDM’s many “5 letter” singles such as Boots (2002), Light (1994), Money (1992), Virus (1989) and others. Krank contains the two latest anthems, “Krank” and “Day Of Light”, and features multiple versions of each one, for a total of 5 tracks, providing almost 25 minutes of music. None of the tracks found on this single will be on the band’s forthcoming 2011 full-length album; the Krank single is the only place they can be heard. The music for Krank was created, as always, by KMFDM founder, leader and vocalist Sascha K., with assistance from most of the familiar KMFDM Krew of the past years - KMFDM’s female singer, Lucia, and musicians Jules Hodgson and Steve White. Contributions to Krank can also be found from various members of the extended KMFDM family. Previous KMFDM members Tim Skold and Bill Rieflin return as “remixers”, Skold taking “Krank” on a stomping and shredding journey and Rieflin doing a genre-bending re-work of “Day Of Light”. William Wilson of KMFDM Record’s own Legion Within provides the vocal duties on “Day Of Light”. Sebastian Komor of Komor Kommando and Icon Of Coil, who recently remixed “Never Say Never” for KMFDM’s Krieg (2009), also lends his well known dancefloor bombast to a remix of “Krank” here. Krank’s cover artwork is once again by stalwart KMFDM artist Brute!, depicting a caricature-style panoramic portrait of the band. The accompanying booklet also contains liner notes that tell the story of the Krank single, along with fully detailed credits. KMFDM - I (Heart) You (3:56) There’s “nowhere to run” from KMFDM’s Amnesia. Amnesia is the follow-up single to last year’s rousing anthem Krank, which debuted on the Billboard Singles Chart at #15 and the Billboard Top Dance Singles Chart at #3 (spending over 6 weeks on both charts). Amnesia will be released on May 22nd, 2012, on Metropolis Records. Amnesia includes 3 remixes of 3 different songs, one brand new exclusive song and the album version of “Amnesia” as well, for a total of 5 tracks, providing almost 25 minutes of music. All of the remixes found on Amnesia come from material originally on KMFDM’s 2011 album, WTF?!. KMFDM’s founder and leader, Sascha K. takes point with his remix of “Amnesia”, a club/electro rework with a hefty stomp that is guaranteed to have lovers of the Ultra-Heavy-Beat reporting to the dancefloor in record numbers. Norway’s industrial-orchestral act Morlocks threw a CD onstage while KMFDM was playing at a festival in Germany. Since then they have become one of Sascha K.’s favorite new bands and have been called on here to work their strange brand of magic on last year’s single "Krank”, giving it a total revamp. Finally, Metropolis Records’ label-mates Rotersand have a go at the explosive takeover track "Come On - Go Off". The release’s new song, “I ♥ You” finds KMFDM taking their industrial grinder to the synth-pop/future-pop sound. The results are, as one would expect, uniquely KMFDM. The single’s inclusion of “Amnesia (Album Mix)” serves as an introduction for those who have not yet picked up the band’s well received record WTF?! which debuted at #1 on the iTunes Electronic Album Chart and #8 on the Billboard Electronic/Dance Album Chart in 2011. The artwork for Amnesia was created by KMFDM’s longtime visual partner Brute!. The image is from a concept by Käpt'n K. (riffing on Edvard Munch’s famous painting The Scream). The album's 27 tracks on two compact discs were recorded from 1984 to 1986 but previously unreleased on CD. Certain noted selections have never been released at all prior to this album. Personnel featured on this recording include Sascha Konietzko, En Esch, Jr. Blackmail, Nico Blank, "Tamsi" Tamsjadi, and several others.
A cassette release of these tracks was assembled by En Esch and made available through the KMFDM Enterprises mailorder catalog in 1992. It included the first 19 tracks appearing on the CD release, but several tracks were dubbed at an incorrect tape speed (later fixed on the CD as "official" versions). These tracks were available for download at the KMFDM Store prior to the actual release of 84–86. The CD was sold on the band's 20th anniversary tour in October and November 2004. Tracklist:

Extra is a three volume set of double disc collections of all KMFDM tracks not included on the ten KMFDM Classic albums. KMFDM Extra features recordings culled from the band’s 12” vinyl singles, CD singles and alternate versions of albums. Every track in the Extra series has been remastered by the same crew who did the amazing remasters for all 10 KMFDM Classic albums. All of the material on Extra has been out of print for many years. Some songs appear here on CD for the first time ever and none of them have been released in remastered form until now. Continuing the tradition started with the KMFDM Classic releases the accompanying booklets for the Extra series are packed with exciting material. Some highlights include cover art from every album and single from which cuts were taken (most covers are by famed KMFDM cohort Brute!), never before seen photos of the band from the time period, release history info for all tracks and previously unavailable complete recording information and credits. As it has been with all the KMFDM re-releases on Metropolis, work on this series, from the remastering to the packaging, has been done with the highest level of participation from Sascha K., KMFDM’s leader and founder. Extra Volume 1 is comprised of songs from the German release of the What Do You Know Deutschland? album in 1986 to the Money single in 1992. This two disc set houses 27 tracks, over 2 hours and 18 minutes of music. Extra Vol. 1 features the original 12” mixes of tons of KMFDM hits: “Godlike”, “Money”, “Naïve”, “More & Faster”, “Vogue”, “Sex on the Flag”, “Virus”, “Don’t Blow Your Top”, “Split” and more! Extra Vol.1 also boasts a 24 page booklet packed full of art and anecdotes. ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1 Extra, Vol. 2 is a rarities double album by KMFDM. It was released on August 5, 2008. It is the second of a three volume, double-disc set collection of tracks that were not included in any of the ten KMFDM Classic albums.

KMFDM - Power (Single Mix Edit) (3:08) Celebrating over 25 years of the ultra-heavy beat, KMFDM proudly offers you their Wurst, so open wide and take a bite. Wurst is single disc collection of KMFDM’s best known tracks released by Metropolis Records, home to KMFDM for the last half decade Like a German Wurst, or sausage, is made from top quality beef, pork and veal and then grilled to perfection, KMFDM’s Wurst is comprised of their greatest tracks, hand picked and then painstakingly prepared by KMFDM’s “top chef”, the band’s founder and leader, Sascha K. Käpt’n K, as Sascha is known to his legion of fans, has created this release with both the KMFDM neophyte and the well initiated in mind. He has arranged and sequenced these top tracks for maximum listening flavor. For those looking for KMFDM’s most widely-known songs they are here in all their hard hitting glory - “Juke-Joint Jezebel”, “A Drug Against War”, “Godlike”, “Light” “D.I.Y.” “Megalomaniac” and “Anarchy”. Wurst runs the gamut of the KMFDM catalog from early hits such as “More & Faster”, “Naïve” and “Money” to more recent favorites like “WWIII” and “Tohuvabohu”. Representing the cream of the crop from 11 albums, Wurst serves up 19 full tracks, topping out at over 72 minutes of music. Of course a KMFDM retrospective would not be complete without artwork by long-time KMFDM cohort Brute! The cover image is a perfect fit as, like the music itself, it portrays the dangerous (and sometimes sexy) underworld that is inhabited by KMFDM. So sit down, grab your fork and dig in. KMFDM, the best at being Wurst! ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1 Greatest Shit is a compilation album by KMFDM. It was released on September 28, 2010. This special edition version of Würst has the same track listing as that album on its first disc, and comes with a second disc of additional mixes and edits of new and classic KMFDM tracks.

KMFDM - That's All (Edit) (4:38) KMFDM proudly announces the ultimate celebration of their 25 year history – Greatest Shit. This Limited Edition double disc collection of KMFDM’s best known tracks is presented by Metropolis Records, KMFDM’s home for the last half decade Greatest Shit was compiled by KMFDM’s founder and leader, Sascha K. (Käpt’n K, as he is known to his legion of fans). He created this release for KMFDM’s new recruits and veterans alike, specially arranging and sequencing the band’s top tracks for maximum impact. Because a true sampling of the best of KMFDM could not be constrained to one disc, Greatest Shit is presented in a two disc configuration. 38 tracks in all, this ultimate ultra-heavy beating has a total running time of over 145 minute and features tracks from every one of KMFDM’s studio albums – from 1986’s What Do You Know, Deutschland? to last year’s Blitz. For those looking for KMFDM’s most widely-known songs they can now be found all in one place - “Juke-Joint Jezebel”, “A Drug Against War”, “Godlike”, “Light” “D.I.Y.” “Megalomaniac” and “Anarchy”. The full breadth of the KMFDM catalog is featured from early singles such as “Kickin’ Ass” and “Don’t Blow Your Top” to more recent fan-favorites like “Free Your Hate” and “Never Say Never”. Some of the band’s best loved album cuts are on display as well with “Dogma”, “Terror” and “Waste”. A true representation of the cream of the crop from all 15 KMFDM albums, this is the Greatest Shit. KMFDM’s greatest wouldn’t be nearly as great without artwork by long-time KMFDM cohort Brute! In addition to a 16 page booklet bursting with cool features, this Special Edition includes a lenticular image from the world of KMFDM, hot and dangerous.
