Influences include Skinny Puppy, Putrefy Factor 7, YelworC, Front Line Assembly, Synapscape, Dive, Portion Control, Sleep Chamber, early Thrill Kill Kult, and early Ministry. With the first self-released demo cdr in June 2006, Necrotek quickly became recognized as a dark new musical force. Two tracks from the first demo ended up on major industrial compilations - the track "Wish You Dead (First Cut)" on 'Interbreeding VIII: Elements of Violence' from BLC Music, and the track "Spectre" on 'Endzeit Bunkertracks Act II' from Alfa-Matrix. 'Menschenfeind', released on Vendetta Music, is Necrotek's first full-length CD. It represents a strong development in complexity and style from the first demo - blending old-school industrial elements with futuristic cyber-tek electronics to create a dark and powerful industrial sound. Inspired by horror movies, esoterica, existential philosophy, and extremity of experience, Necrotek experiments with various electronic and industrial sub-genres while exhibiting a characteristic dark intensity. 'Menschenfeind' is an indictment of the species, a vitriolic invective against the decline of humanity. Necrotek - Decline and Fall (4:44) After the release of the debut CD 'Menschenfeind' earlier this year, Necrotek returns with the 'None More Black EP' - delivering two nihilistic ebm club anthems and two tracks of old-school inspired industrial. The title track is a blistering rhythmic assault, with abrasive vocals expressing a venomous view of the state of existence. Sung in both German and English, "Alles Ist Nacht" continues this theme with a mutant ebm club track featuring razor-edged synths, a massive beat, and tripped-out oscillating electronics. "Shadow Phase" is perhaps the darkest track on the EP, inspired by the old-school industrial sounds of Front Line Assembly and Skinny Puppy, and conveying menacing atmospheres along with a bleak, nihilistic fatalism. The final track "Decline and Fall" is an instrumental piece inspired by the early Wax Trax sound of Ministry and The Revolting Cocks. It presents dark industrial electronics with gothic atmospheres and themes of disillusion, heartbreak, drugs, magick and horror. While staying true to his old-school influences, Necrotek has developed a singular and unique sound, setting him apart from the usual "industrial" fare of the current scene; the music is menacing and hypnotic, energetic and evocative, with lyrics that explore a philosophical questioning of existential experience. An undeniably dark and spooky record, Blacklight Magick is a deeply personal journal of decadence, broken relationships and haunting emotions, full of sublime intensity and a sense of ironic fatalism. It contains a rare live improv track from a warehouse performance in 2001, as well as the very first Necrotek track from 2000. It also contains several exceptional, high-quality remixes from artists such as Portion Control, Trimetrick, Terminal State, The Peoples Republic of Europe, Kontrolled Demolition, and others.
