Relax - Padre - 1977 (Circolo del disco # CDDP 22)Linear notes: Relax is one of the bands from the history of Argentine rock that has no history. It is considered almost as a "ghost band", musicians and collectors have no record of any activity by the band, although in an Internet web site someone dared to write that they premiered their LP at the luxurious "Savoy Hotel" hall in Buenos Aires. In 1975, they recorded an LP for the independent record label "Vedette", playing a hard-rock style and writing most of the songs based on riffs and guitar phrases, featuring a very accurate performance by the drummer, who created, together with the bass player, a "hellish broth".
We could compare them with the early years of "El Reloj" or with "Plus", and the influence of Argentine guitar players school was evident, the "Grasso" brothers" combined very well their performance on guitars.
The original LP always was very difficult to find, but since it was released through "Record Collector Dreams 2001" as one of the rarest LPs of Argentine rock, hard-rock collectors around the world rushed to get it and hence a limited edition of 300 vinyl LPs was produced in Europe in 2000 to provide for the lack of the original LP. Now, with the present edition in CD it will be more convenient to listen to "Relax" and feel that typical heavy and rich sound of 70s Argentine bands. A must for collectors.
