The second CD by Vicki Logan is getting quite a lot of attention these days. An album of mostly original instrumentals, this CD is one that Vicki writes "I'm finding my way on my musical journey. I'm not trying to invent some extraordinary new technique and I'm not trying to compete with the major labels, but I am doing something I love and wish to share it with whomever would like to listen. I hope to inspire other people to chase their dreams and to realize that they have a place here...one that does make a difference, no matter how small it may seem. "Finding My Way" features piano driven instrumentals using elements of several genres including rock, pop, classical and even folk. She has also incorporated the instruments of flute, cello, violin, flugelhorn, guitars and more into her compositions to creat even more variety. Vicki has arranged Enya's "Only Time" and Ethridge's "All the Way to Heaven" as a way to introduce her arranging styles. She chose these artists as they have helped to influence her path within the music industry. "They are strong women who have forged the way for many women after them. They had obstacles to over come and did."

Warm, resonant, new age instrumental music incorporating elements from several genres including jazz, dance, renaissance, folk, blues and more.
THE RIDE represents the passage of time, the rise and fall of the sun; the beginning of life to the end; and then renewal; rebirth. I wanted to describe the passage of time, as I experience it, in terms of music. I also wanted to show the many sides of who I am using elements from different styles of music because that, to me, is how most of us are. We are not represented by any one particular thing...but by many things creating a whole unique being.
Music is a tool for communication and it is my intention to instill hope, inspire, encourage, and remind everyone to enjoy life...to live...to dream...and to just plain have fun! Life is what we make of it, and although we have a lot to learn as we live it, I hope that we will strive to make the most of every part; bumps and all.
This CD features elements of jazz, blues, renaissance, pop, celtic, and more! Mostly electronic in nature, Vicki has combined keyboards, electronic percussion and synths, with the smooth sounds of sax, acoustic and electric guitar and even flute and piccolo to create atmospheres which can take one through the day with a song to match each moment.

The 4th Album of original music by self-taught, cinematic, electronic composer/instrumentalist Vicki Logan. Here she uses her flute skills in addition to keyboards and synths. Her arrangements vary from a simple sax and piano duet to a full blown orchestration. It's amazing to hear the versatility of the material.
Vicki Logan is a self-taught composer/musician from Minnesota who strives to create music that is both inspirational and uplifting. People deal with situations that can be seemingly unbearable at times and they need to know that it's going to be okay. Vicki's music can be that little spark of hope in times of challenge for many people; it can be that inspirational voice saying "Hey! You can do this. You can make it."
"The Journey To the Places In My Soul" is Vicki Logan's fourth CD of original music to date and descibes one journey of many that we take in life; the initial idea or dream from conception to completion. The CD starts out with a simple idea expressed by piano and saxophone signifying the dream, "Twilight Dreams of Paradise". The musical trip actually begins with the second track entitled "The Journey" which signifies the inital step each individual takes towards accomplishing the dream. That song, and all the songs thereafter, incorporate various elements of pop, celtic, rock, country, classical and more because we are exposed to all different types of experiences. Our journey comes to an end with the ninth track, "To the Places In My Soul". Along the way, we have had experiences and gained additional knowledge that has influenced our dream and changed it somewhat. Afterall, we try new things and take from it what we need and leave what we don't. The final track results in reevaluating what our dream has become. The dream is still there...the main idea is still there...but the song has changed somewhat because of our experiences. Thus we have, "Twilight Dreams of Paradise (Revisited)". It's a new way to look at our original dream.

Cinematic, electronic instrumentals with Native American, pop, Celtic, rock, and other elements creating music inspired by nature and the mysteries of life.
This is the first time you get to see Vicki Logan in ALL aspects of an album...her most personal yet. She has not only written the songs, but has performed most tracks (exception being drums/percussion), she has taken all photographs and done all the graphic design work for the CD.
Vicki grew up in Michigan, lived in Chicago, IL for a while after college, moved to Minnesota for 15 years, and, after some very personal struggles there, moved to Colorado in 2012. All of these things were made part of the album in some way. Whenever there seemed to be a struggle in life, Mother Nature and all it's beauty was there. This album is about reflection and introspection...like a dream walk.
"Whenever I felt I needed to think...to run away from the problems going on in my life, I always ran to nature; the woods, the lake, riding my horse, sitting with my critters. Sometimes it was best to just be. It was easier to think that way and solve my issues. Sometimes there weren't issues to solve, but questions to ask that I knew no person could answer. The music here is all part of those processes and much of it is positive and happy because no matter how grim things seemed to look, the answer was never to keep being sad, depressed or angry. The answer was always to live; to learn; to realize that my gift was my music and sharing that gift was going to help someone get through what I had to get through too."
