Albert Beger's new album was recorded and played from a perspective of a musician who's been living and dedicating his life to a deeper, thorough observation of himself and of the world. In contrary to his previous album Big Mother, where Albert dealt with global warming and the danger of our planet, Peacemaker presents the other side of the idea - the state of a human being.
Peacemaker is an album with a mission to deliver. Its concept is very clear and simple - a living creature's own peace with himself, the strong will to save himself from the highs and lows and their extreme characteristics, and have a full and happy life, thanks to the feeling of a whole, which exists in each of us.
In spite of the melancholy that starts and ends the album with the main theme of Long Story, this album shouldn't be treated as a sad perspective on life. On the contrary, it's a celebration of life in its most honest and private way. The sharp edges of Long Story's melodies are a bit like life, with their highs, lows, and the majority of between.
Albert Beger is a pioneer, visionary and productive musician. He is the torchbearer of Israeli free-jazz and avant-garde movement, and an academy lecturer. Albert is passing a tradition onwards, and exploring new ideas that never stop in Albert's life, and this album bears a clear and simple lesson.
Life, is a celebration of colors and sounds, and one who's in a complete acceptance and embracing of his life - will be saved even from those sharp edges, of the highs, lows, and in-betweens.
