Featuring previous collaborator Angelina Lucero, whose vocals also rung out over LOL Boys’ "Changes" EP, this "Home Remedies" is both a crisply textural and groove-heavy zone. c39 run of 200 released June 18, 2013 Mastered by Tom Whalen/Culture Beast Studios ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Tings & Savage - Sequins (7:00) 04. Tings & Savage - Green (7:44) Club Mate and weed-drenched collab from Melbourne-based retroactive house producer Roland Tings and co-conspirator Nathan Savage, entirely improvised out of eight 11-hour days in an old converted governmental administration building next to a scrap yard on the canal in Berlin. Focusing on super warm, scruffy textures and consciously avoiding tempos of 115 - 130 for a classic ambient electronic zone with a strong “club” backbone, "Brain Foam" is obliquely jacked on the same Tings luxury that made "Milky Way" so engaging. These two have found encountered deep, flowing sounds amongst the amp hiss; bright pulsing synth spaces with a strong rhythmic core, like the hazy shells of the tracks playing in the club the night before being filled up again with sun and smoke. "Midtown Direct" is his debut voyage into a heavy subterranean zone of murky utilitarianism, or as he puts it, “heavily filtered & fucked ambient techno”. Young Braised - Life is Good (3:42) 04. Young Braised - 100% Perfect Girl (3:09) 05. Young Braised - Yohji Yamamotorola (Freestyle) (1:58) 06. Young Braised feat. Strawberry Jacuzzi - Feminist (3:31) 07. Young Braised feat. Ammit - Opacity (3:20) At this point in the rap game it’s hard to say whether Vancouver-based rapper Young Braised’s beginnings are unlikely or not. Jaymes Bowman (as he is known IRL) initially got into rap through bands that sometimes rapped their lyrics like P.O.D after being raised in a Christian home. He learnt shortly after that this was called rapping and started listening to Christian rap until accidentally downloading a DMX song on Kazaa. Jadakiss soon became a favourite artist and Nas quickly found his way into the family Kia Magentis by way of his brother’s (and sometimes-collaborator Strawberry Jacuzzi) home made “clean edits”. These days Braised is part cloud-rap, part colour-flow goof off, linking with Japanese producer Terio for this cassette. Though most of his collabs so far have been Internet-based (ie. recent tracks with Karmelloz, Neu Balance etc), Japanese Tendencies is also linked with Vancouver house/dance collective Mood Hut. These track were recorded in the downtown eastside Mood Hut itself, where he frequently performs live amongst DJs in Vancouver’s scruffy house and techno nights. Young Braised Partially indebted to the new sincerest hip-hop of Friendzone, Clams Casino, Main Attrakionz and the net realms of GuMMy†Be▲R, but a loveable bombast ala Antwon or Lil Ugly Mane is also present. He started on the tape in Spring, which (hilariously to him) is around the time he read his first Murakami. Those type of references to contemporary Japonism are ultra tongue-in-cheek and spliced with raps on snack food, James Gandolfini, girls, the Pacific Northwest and of course its abundance of weed. “Japanese Tendencies” is named after a Lupe Fiasco line (from “Gold Watch”), but also reflects on his own innane particularties and process. Instead of obsessing over Japanese culture but only actually engaging with it’s commercialized entities (denim, design etc) like many of the Manga-avatared soundclouds out there, the main tendency Braised drew from his modest knowledge of Japanese culture is “simply a more thoughtful existence”. released September 3, 2013 Masterd by Aquarian Foundation's Tanner Matt aka HASHMAN Deejay Art by Mark Bulford ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Mind Dynamics - Juice Cleanse 2 (3:03) 04. Mind Dynamics - EcoLogo (3:56) 05. Mind Dynamics - Praise Hi (4:44) 06. Mind Dynamics - Origo™-Tech (6:04) "A vessel: unified, collective action and consciousness. Loss of self, the interchange of flows across cables, mixers and machines, a single mind emerging from the moment of pure vitality." The lifestyle-minded Brooklyn duo of Daniel Freshwater and Brian Whateverer have interacted with image/status-obsessed ideals through electronic/dance music for a while now. Where previous releases like “After-Sport” drifted in vape cloud and negotiated slick/stark dualitys, the digital scree, mutated samples and frenetic, metallic percussion that characterize “Precision Instruments” digs deep into decay and dissolution of status and image obsessed lifestyle economy. “Precision Instruments” is an all-out distroidian frenzy in which a shiny, hi-tech aesthetic is constantly subverted, deferred and perverted through a dizzying set of disembodied dance signifiers and mangled but muscular sample repetitions. Disjointed rhythms pile-up and melt in an ever-shifting blur of robotic and cybernetic club ruins retrograded with synthetic image renderings probably best viewed via Ocular Rift. These broken maximalist deconstructions are dark but buoyant, and never as doomed as the explorations of self or dystopic capitalist realities that they set their sights on. Rather, Mind Dynamics generally smashed iPhone screen vibe allows for major (though occasional) moments of serenity to emerge from the crumbling textures. A distinct elasticity and sense of warped space might bring to mind Night Slugs et als obsessions with the lavish, as much as Eric Copeland’s inverted dub, Actress’ messy techno or Pete Swanson’s recent damaged warehouse operations. At the heart of each of “Precision Instruments” six (totally live) recordings is techno; albeit a super messy and heavily processed type. released December 3, 2013 Art by Daniel Freshwater & Brian Whateverer Mastered by Andrew Nerviano ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

AT/NU - Insph (5:43) 12. AT/NU - Lodi (7:09) 13. AT/NU - Dro-gen (2:57) Igor Ivanov and Sami Blanco’s AT/NU project is half transcendence-focused ambience and half explorative, trance-inspired hybrid techno. Both sides of their cyber-tropic debut “Psi Grove” are situated firmly in the same 3D rendered forest realm, and both share the conscious agenda to “attenuate” the listener’s neuro-vibrational energy through reprocessings of glassy, spaced out tropes of electronica. Even if the bulk of the album was laid out (in two weeks) at Sami’s loft in Griffintown, Montreal, the digitized, celestial feel of “Psi Grove”’s two sides seems more indebted to the year Igor spent in New Zealand; residual vibrations of bygone outdoor raves, cornerstore “herbal highs” and free spirited cultural moods echo through the breakbeat of “Shift” as much as the textural cosmos of a track like “Tennu”. Soundscapes like “Dro-gen” and “Nitewavs” are lit with starry, forward-reaching synth drones whereas the Electribe-driven tracks like “Lodi” and its reverberant temple-based sounds suggest the fern-covered landscapes and Pacific energy of New Zealand’s postcolonial atmos. “Psi Grove”’s synthetic ecosystem focuses towards pluralistic, holistic detachments from narrow perceptions, embracing a wide range of immersions for a unified sensation of displacement and taking cues from Stellar OM Source, Focus Group and Wolfgang Voigt along the way. Igor’s other project, Window, treaded similar polished, hybridized zones with the atmospheric jungle and techno experiments, while Sami’s series of electronic productions as Temple Volant, Nacomi, Mi Casa Tu Casa are at the more twisted end of electronic exploration. released February 11, 2014 Artwork and mastering by Igor Ivanov c60 run of 50 on Chrome Plus pro-dubbed cassette ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Infiniti - 1-1-2 1-2 1-2 (Original Mix) (4:30) Infiniti (インフィニティ Infiniti?, IPA: [inɸinʲiti]) is the luxury vehicle division ofJapanese automaker Nissan Motor Company. Infiniti officially started selling vehicles on November 8, 1989 in North America. The Infiniti brand was introduced in the USA in 1989. Infiniti is Luke Wyatt. Themarketing strategy was to target the premium vehicle segments in the United States that would not have otherwise fit in with Nissan’s more mainstream image, and partially influenced by the Plaza Accord of 1985. The Infiniti marque was launched with two models, the Q45, and the M30. The Q45 was based on the all new second generation JDM Nissan President on a five millimeter shorter wheelbase platform at 2,875 mm (113.2 in). Starting with model year 1992, the wheelbase matched the President’s wheelbase at 2880 mm (113.4 in). The Q45 included a 278 hp (207 kW; 282 PS) V8 engine, four wheel steering, and active suspension system offered on the first generation Q45t. The car’s features would have made it competitive in the full-sized “luxury” segment against the Mercedes S-Class,BMW 7 Series, Jaguar XJ and Cadillac Fleetwood. 1990 Infiniti M30 A second model was introduced in 1990, the 2-door M30, a badge engineered Nissan Leopard. It remained in production for three years as an alternative to the Lexus SC. The powertrain was the VG30E 162 hp (121 kW; 164 PS) engine and an automatic transmission. The M30 coupe was underpowered for its stock weight of 3,333 lb (1,512 kg). The M30 convertible weighed even more, due to the required body and chassis reinforcements. Infiniti did not offer an mid-luxury sedan to match the first Japanese luxury sedan introduced to North America, the Acura Legend, which was later joined by the Lexus GS. Infiniti’s first offering in the entry-level luxury segment was the Infiniti J30, which had to compete with the revised 1992 Lexus ES and was unsuccessful owing to its small interior and unusual styling to which it was succeeded in 1996 by the Infiniti Iseries, related to the Nissan Maxima and in 2002 by the Infiniti G35. The Infiniti badge is a stylized representation of a road extending into the horizon, stretching to “Infiniti”. Loosely skirting genres of instrumental hip-hop, ambient techno and footwork but generally remaining incognito in a cloud of smoke behind late night screen glow, Karmelloz moves deep into a thick and hybridist textural haze that is as concerned with renderings of the organic as much as the cerebral. EEG patterns, the electrical waves all our brains emit, and brain synchronicity have been the abstract catalysts for Karmelloz’s hardware and MaxMSP-created works. Magic Fades + Soul Ipsum - Globex (2:12) Ultra late night and streetlit collab from two of Portland’s key electronic reinterpreters. These 60 minutes and 18 tracks are all fully live, born out of a couple of sessions fueled by kush, coffee and tonnes of LaCroix pink grapefruit Soda Water. “Zirconia Reign” is an organic manifestation of imagery and psychic connection from their collective experiences living in Portland, working as civil servants for the more desolate and bleak suburban areas. Connecting the disparities between the urban/suburban divide in a place renowned as an “alt” mecca with a stack of synths, sequencers and drum-pads, dip into post-Internet oasis of signifiers fused in banality; video games, and electronic music of the past and present, a pioneer of the virtual/real consciousness reflected in our Cascadian utopae. Morphing familiar but distant ideals from icy R&B, futuristic funk, and more recent rave/electronic domains, the singular experience of “Zirconia Reign” is post-ironic and bathed in reverence and high gloss simulation, honed in collective isolation by pervasive overcast weather. released April 8, 2014 Art by Mark Bulford ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

MCFERRDOG - Myst (7:36) Max McFerren has long been a staple of Brooklyn and Chinatown’s lofts and club spaces at particularly late hours with his playful but muscular take on techno, but this is the first glimpse into the unadorned but texturally luxurious MCFERRDOG project. Jacked on twisted optimism and Power 105.7 bombastics, “Club Amniotics” toes extremes of fantastical, bubbly weird-as-I-wanna-be experiments and a hugely emotive, open-spaced club vernacular. Whether goofing off into circus EDM and kaleidoscopic, elasticated techno or hitting ultra-sincere emotions and straight up euphoria, MCFERRDOG is totally uninhibited in this pre-subjective, pre-club ego-forming sphere. Fantasizing an alt Panorama Bar culture, particularly sportive bouncers like “Thesaurus Mode” ride a clearer techno tempo, processing jumped up club signifiers into a super melodic ASMR love story. Mutated neo-rave sensations rise off of the title track (one of the c38s more sensual moments) whereas the stop-start funk of “Rosewater” or slightly drunker “Vulgar Physics” is bouncy and straight up weird. This dual mind might go some ways to explain McFerren’s interactions with the likes of DJ Richard and Young Male at the same time as playing warehouses with acid freaks like Gobby and Physical Therapy. MCFERRDOG’s strokes are broad; tapping into the threshold of a good idea and reopening recent youth with post-ironic realness and notions of unbridled imagination, fantasy and new age. released April 22, 2014 Art by Mason Lindroth ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Beat Detectives - Jalopy Internet Intro (1:24) Minneapolis three-piece Beat Detectives have been getting twisted across a few tape releases now on labels like 100% Silk, Night People and Moon Glyph. Finally mutating their way onto the 1080p roster after being shut down at one plant due to “questionable content”, their latest party tape of loose and disorienting house and heavy bubblegum beats turns up the amateur bombast even further than usual. “ASSCOP”’s light antagonism comes beamed in (much like their previous cassette tapes) from some discarded Winamp .pls on their cluttered PC desktop; a very heady split between authentic FM radio channel scanning and digital radio show, shredding heavily attitudinal house tracks in between gunked snippets of Rock Stations and dazed vocal interludes (“Youtube!”) up against crass bootleg beats and dubbed-out vocal techno. The “3am basement house party” vibe has always (literally borne out of “dirt raves in punker basements”) been smudged onto their rhythms but it seems as if “ASSCOP” is made for the pavement, emphatically strutting alongside the listener on a deep quest to loosen things up, pulling artifacts from all sorts of genres, styles and locations. “Summer in the City” is super heavy and extremely funky, exuding the dusty 70s/80s glitz of disco and proto-house via punctuative handclaps and sex-positive bass groove. “Fresh Out The Pack” is bouncy and propelled by low, squelchy synths while “Oh That Felix” opens the tape up with the most substantial and contemporary dance music modes. Passing tracks and ideas back and forth between Minneapolis and New York City, Aaron Anderson, Oakley Tapola and Chris Hontos (of Dreamweapon and Food Pyramid), Beat Detectives production model has morphed into the versatile vehicle that allows “ASSCOP” to exist in a post-band, post-ironic blur of funk and incessant rhythms. released May 6, 2014 ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

As much about yearning for a better place as trying to extract the best feeling from a certain scenario, neighborhood or image, LNRDCROY’s encyclopaedic knowledge (and deep YouTube chan) of ambient techno and 90s Euphoria serves as much of a memory bank as the physical British Columbian nostalgia. Stellar Sofa, Pilgrims of the Mind, Outersanctum). Major feelings of safety roll off a downbeat track like “Land, Repair, Refuel” and expansive, overcast ambient drifters like “Now I’m In Love” express a similar warmth and skewed sense of aliveness. One things for sure, each moment must be a journey, even the insanely funky, rolling groove of “Sunrise Market” and the jumped up over-shoulder look to dusty, almost there rave signifiers that is “Slam City Jam”. The sensation of space, attention to texture and generally deft abilities to articulate a physical zone suggest this is the work of a true head, though one very much in outside world as much as studio/imagination. The dreamlike borderlands of “Much Less Normal”s cross genre experiences are divided by nowness, naiveity and deep appreciation. released May 20, 2014 Art by Patrick Cruz ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Auscultation - Found By The Gate (9:47) Joel Shanahan’s gliding, atmospheric synth experiments have morphed through a few distinct forms over the last few years with the decayed luxury of his Golden Donna project. The latest release from the Madison, WI melody and groove enthusiast arrives at a particularly dream-drenched, cascading realm as Auscultation, a new project debuting on 1080p with this S/T cassette and digital release. The holographic, arpeggiated voyages of these new works are expectedly lush and retain as much of the insular, basement/bedroom-based zonage as they do way out, starry abstractions. Shanahan’s by now recognisable sense of the cosmic and unique and meticulous synthesis/sound design definitely wins out thanks to the deep and constant shroud of brightly hued ambience. Practically every layer of these 50 minutes worth of hybridized tracks is melodic; building gradually into slow, marbled washes on a track like “Ash” with particular patience, while the chords at the front of “Wave Rejection” oscillate with particular vigor and high-reaching emotive intent. Low, heavy bass and a series of texturally varied percussions finishes out each of these seven heavily layered, reverberant tracks for feelings both maze-like and expansive. Auscultation’s movements are guided by fragments of specific dance music genre ideals, but the overwhelmingly psychedelic sensations take over. Processing his own take on the decadence of house music as well as his passion for lush drone and noise results in hazy, labyrinthian heights that have echos of hypnogogic pop as much as italo. released June 3, 2014 Mastered by Anders Peterson Art by Mark Bulford ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Since his initial moves towards house and techno genre experiments two years ago, Khotin has refined his unique slant on gentle acid and blurred yet effervescent hybrid house, with a stack of hardware: Roland TR-505, 606, 707, SH-101, Juno 106, Korg MS-10, Yamaha DX7, and various casio keyboards. Khotin’s lightly dusted grooves are inflected with a bedroom pop sensibility as much as reverence for heavy techno greats, scattering samples over breezy house rhythms. Loose themes of flight and brightness coast in and out of each side (mixed live); loose house drifters like “Flight Theme” and title track “Hello World” float on gentle bongos and hi-hats and brightly hued melodies (that are consistently focal and catchy across the record) while darker techno heavy hitters like “Why Don’t We Talk” and “Infinity Jam” bring a distinct take on cosmic hardware vibes. released July 1, 2014 Art by Fallon Does ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Gobby’s skill for sampling anything and everything into strange and insanely funky techno loops is particularly apparent on this six track release that has eyes on ultra serene trance heights as much as the most fucked streaks of purist techno. Somewhere beyond the historic thump of Black Dice’s rhythmic experiments and classic acid and freaked out, Gobby’s beats are both sludgey and vivid. On “Wallet and Cellphone”, Gobby comes out in particularly high spirits that affirm his desire for shredded joy rather than purposely weirded out dance obfuscations. The circular glee of “Y Smart Car” segues into the bubbling four-four of “MaybeImLying”, casually jumped up and wobbling with a classic acid mood. “Clifford” is a giddy two minute flotational refrain with a steady 140bpm pulse under super beautiful and starry melodic sample that leads perfectly into the reverb damaged gramophone ballad that introduces “XM Whimsy”, a 7-minute almost Avanlanches zone of shuffled beats. Gobby has produced beats for Mykki Blanco and Le1f and recenty linked with DFA’s Dan Bodan recently with a shredding remix. Riohv - Untitled (Outro) (2:08) 22 year old Ottawa home producers Riohv aka Braden Thompson ends up at an extremely hazy crossroads of scruffy acid house and colour drenched hybrid techno that aligns perfectly with the 1080p mantra. One of the most lucid and rich Soundcloud-stumbles of recent months, his debut “Moondance” delivers with a distinct set of long, airy pads and serene zone-out hybrid electronic moods that coast between faintly dysfunctional homemade lo-fi and more dancefloor-focused early acid reflections. “Moondance” is one to sit back to; even with a steady but fuzzy four-four beat running under most of the c50, laid back and distinctly shredded, distant synth melodies send each bedroom-based track into the cosmos or the after-hours. Sharing many daydream affinities with recent 1080p signees (and Internet friends) Khotin and D. Tiffany along with similar ideals in terms of combining classic dance music modes with those of experimental pop and drone, readily skipping between genres along the way. It’s not until album closer “Untitled (Outro)” that Riohv’s mission statement is really laid out in full; euphoric, wonky synths meander against a backdrop of tape recordings of fireworks with the same blurry sincerity that is evident throughout all of “Moondance”. released September 9, 2014 Art by Russell Maurice Mastered by Riley Byrne ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

"If I had to choose [Brian Eno's] greatest contribution to popular music it would be the idea that musicians do their best work when they have no idea what they’re doing." - Sasha Frere-Jones on Brian Eno (Ambient Genius, July 7) This is something Babe Rainbow (aka Cameron Reed) believes wholeheartedly. He hadn't really made electronic music before starting Babe Rainbow a number of years back, and shortly thereafter he was signed to Warp. Before that, he had been making angular punk music in Vancouver. Each of these 12 tracks are composed in Reed's by now recongisable mode of lucid electronica. Stripping instrumentation back to solely piano reveals crystalline and oblique meditations on residual influences from Phillip Glass, Erik Satie, and Terry Riley to Keith Fullerton Whitman and Nils Frahm. Before joining How To Dress Well on the road during 2012 he had never really played piano besides some occasional tinkering. So when he became comfortable enough to play, he started writing. It became a new challenge with endless possibilities. Appreciating the limitations of one instrument and juxtaposing the experience of producing electronic music with its vast possibilities. Babe Rainbow’s 1080p debut in cassette and digital form comes as a surprising parallel to his main body of electronic work but aligns closely with the labels ethos as a space for casual experimentation and genre exploration. “I'm not a piano player, I'm not trained. I'm just a musician with a bunch of ideas that I want to explore. It's not polished, it's exactly what it should be. Everything is worth exploring. Nothing gets crossed out. I love it, I hope you do, too.” released September 27, 2014 Art by Cameron Reed Remastered by LANDR ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Oobe - Digital Sea (8:35) Turin based producer Yari Malaspina aka OOBE follows up last years’ Opal Tapes-released “SFTCR” cassette with a more clearly defined and uniquely digitized approach to ambient electronica. Resting melancholy echoes onto slow rave rhythms, “Digitalisea” is a heavy, histrionic set of slow moves into Stargate-mining planetscapes and gaseous, computerized digi-psych. OOBE is deeply cosmic in all of these ultra synthetic dealings with tropes of both ambient techno and classic 90s euphoria, regenerating fragments of both into his own dense, amorphous blur of textural but rhythmic ambience that comes out somewhere between a processed and pixelated Huerco S. and crisply distorted Sci-Fi version of Actress. “Digitalisea” investigates glitches just under the surfaces of recent distroidian and post-internet sheens as much as the hauntological distant club echos that characterized “SFTCR”. It’s hard to tell if its straight up pitch black or solar-scorched, but it’s always blissed out beneath the claustrophobia. released November 4, 2014 ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Co-produced with Physical Therapy and Ville Haimala (Renaissance Man) and featuring M.E.S.H., 18+, Great Skin, Latisha Faulkner, Dena Yago, and Stadium. Berlin based songwriter Dan Bodan was born in the wide open Canadian prairies and raised in Montreal. Reared on the city’s underground noise and experimental music scene, Bodan moved to Berlin 8 years ago. Blossoming in the city’s unique mixture of crumbling old-world european values, start-up philanthropy, sleepless techno and epic grey skies, he began writing songs to soundtrack his train rides through the city and make sense of it all. Working together with a team of world-class producers, poets and artists, he writes songs to fit comfortably in that space between the finger and the mousepad, the bedroom and the club, the earth and the ether. “He blows in like a sweet guardian angel over the beat, making a track so light it feels almost like daylight peeking into a dark nightclub.” - The Fader “The real star is his voice, which quivers as it rises and falls through each line, powerful but slightly fragile” - Resident Advisor released October 28, 2014 ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Angel 1 - 2008 (3:19) Los Angeles-based producer Angel 1’s latest burst of unique plasticity finds middle ground between classic ambient electronica and spacious future club ideals. 1080p debut “Allegra Bin 1” is about stepping outside; the constant unfolding that occurs as you move through the city with communication and drama on many levels, interpreting the messages and signifiers that can hit at any moment and getting extremely buzzed in the process. Angel 1 writes instruments that balance his cultural exposure via the internet with other experiences of walking around Los Angeles. This transience and hyperactive genre shapeshifting come in the form of paradisaical synth flourishes, vivid expanses of grassy rendered landscapes and tranquil shopping network stasis vibes that are permeated by spacious, slick club fragments and punctuated by sudden and soulful drum and bass rollouts. The resulting half-faded synthetic/digital psychedelia is revealed gradually but insanely boldly with lush, warbled synth textures conjuring early 00s IDM memories as much as recent forward-focused genre experiments from both the internet and the club. Locating glassy club music and faked out digital organics into a more hypnogogic realm, Angel 1 disembodies bass music and drill rhythms across 7 tracks for a brief and effervescent EP of typically Los Angelian night guidance and blissed sunspotted zones. "2008" is a perfect hypothesis for this, with literal drifts between walls of loud nigttime cicada noise and passing crisply hauntological memories of trance and techno. “One Wish - Shah” is overt with the jungle rhythms intersecting floating vaporwave sounds, while “Shrubb”’s downcast tropical notions look back more towards his previous work under the Boy Snacks name. Soft and suggestive, “Allegra Bin 1” picks up emotional information from entire geographies, on the street and back home on the computer. released November 18, 2014 ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Magic Fades - Midnight Temptations (3:46) Tender, tech-y moves from Magic Fades aka Mike Grabarek and Jeremy Scott, navigating post-internet fallout and an amorphous areas between future bass/club, top 40 pop and drill for a synthetic and ventriloquistic approach to R&B. The Portland-based production duo focus on super crisp HD production and a particular balance between sincerity, softness and heart-on-mesh realness for a full length of signifier-grabbing aptitude and rich, dynamic production. "Push Thru" is assured in its touchings on the contemporary American radio zeitgeist, exercising their own aesthetics in a more direct and bold set of porcelain, neon late night feelings than those found on their earlier 2014 collab with Soul Ipsum "Zirconia Reign". Since then, they’ve also worked on a series of remixes and productions for other artists/MCs, flexing studio abilities and ways of interpreting those radio hits as well as more Internet-derived sounds and visuals. Alexander O'Neill types of sensual funk go cyborg in Magic Fades hands on "IDGAFAM", a relatively stripped back and up jam compared to the texturally diverse set of future club inspired FX-as-percussion movements of "Industry" or “Midnight Temptations”. Their all-out approach to drama comes to a fore on tracks like "Ecco" which ends up at a soaring, Satrianian (or maybe more Fripp circa 1974 Baby's on Fire”) electric guitar solo that sounds almost as if carved from unimaginably hard granite. Elsewhere, angelic/ flute and harp arpeggios drift through ocean wave samples on “Draped Mesh”, but it’s the heavy melodic turns and extremely deep hooks smoothed with their cold but sensitive palette; a marbled earnestness that is well-humoured yet slick. released November 25, 2014 Art by Iono Jufeelme ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Moon B - Lifeworld Part 2 (14:56) Chopped, grainy subcontinental film aural motifs paired with other slankness on Moon B’s latest and 1080p debut “Lifeworld”. After a brief pause since his PPU releases, Wes Gray returns with a remapped take on his distinctly dusty and groovy sample-focused synth funk. Gray has worked towards his particular sweet spot of retrofuturism, and “Lifeworld”’s segues between antiquity and contemporary g-funk benefit from extremely rich, filmic moods and a general knack for basking in warmth and sincerity rather than obscurity. Recently inspired by Delroy Edward's "Slowed Down Funk" tape series, his spin on the mixtape format is freaky and heavy on bonus synth overlays, typically scruffy but velvety textures and moods galore that from one minute lead from a walk down Beale Street in Memphis only to shift into a steamy auto rickshaw in Chennai the next. It's all in the pocket of his cratedigging influences, and“Lifeworld” also has residual vibes of someone like Games’ slowed and screwed-tempo samples; in this case, South Asian cinema clips are looped amidst analog synth overlays with similarly syrupy implications of his original grooves (much like on his last mixtape effort “Any Questions” edging against more texturally and vibe-diverse source material. Young Braised - Meditation (3:40) 08. Young Braised - Middle Class Homie Quan (3:32) 09. Young Braised - Daydrift (5:58) Heritage meets technicality on Vancouver, British Columbia-based rapper Young Braised’s second 1080p release “Northern Reflections”, a 36-minute meditation of Pacific Northwest-inspired hip-hop where his distinct new sincerity floats through languid, abstracted productions from West Coast collaborators Karmelloz and a i r s p o r t s. These calmer, more liquid euphorias run with the same optimism and oblique lyrical imagery as the previously blown-out cloud zones of last year’s “Japanese Tendencies”, though similarly saturated and melodic. Splitting time between humour and tenderness and placing emphasis on the incorporation of artistic techniques (most notable in his live performances with fiance Soledad Muñoz) in favor of non-traditional rap tropes, Braised furthers his lucid, hybridized and genre-blending practice. After temporary residencies in New York and Montreal last Winter, the collection of work features over a year's worth of recordings from an artist with a constantly evolving practice and renewed appreciation for the West Coast life. A life that continues to evolve as well with his recent engagement, humble return to the post-secondary, and strengthened connection to the house/techno scene of Vancouver's after hours. Exploring notions of masculinity, complicity, and food, navigating landscapes against Vancouver's glassy skyline and neighbouring mountain ranges, Braised’s (real name Jaymes Bowman) quietly existential musings come paired with submerged textures and vaporized synth drifts. “Northern Reflections” is yet another instance of both collaboration and self-informing exercise. Super real and equal parts research and entertainment, this Christmas Day release is a gift not only to his listeners but to Young Braised himself. Cassette edition features bonus physical-only tracks “Still Tippin 2014 (F. Strawberry Jacuzzi)” and “Outside the Club (Freestyle)”. released December 25, 2014 Tracks 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 + bonus tracks produced by Karmelloz Tracks 7 & 8 produced by a i r s p o r t s Art by Jaymes Bowman Mixed by Dave Reynolds ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Neu Balance - Guu Yuu (6:56) Vancouver studio heads Neu Balance breathe deep on Pacific Northwestern air and exhale a debut of meticulously dazed hybrid house and ambient electronica, synthetic and playful with a twisted holisticism. “Rubber Sole” drifts in and out of a borealic yet lush minimalism and over to a jumped-up maximalism that is also present in their live shows. It also blurs from a sort of pre-apocalyptic and overtly filtered, processed and generally heavy synth layers and partially dismantled beats into a bright naturalism/pastoralia. Though their name is a light goof on notions of balance, duality and cushioning, “Rubber Sole” sincerely explores the threshold of balance through accessible house, supremely produced and assembled with excessively customized signifiers that are opposed with stylized washes of ultra crisp digital ambience. Tonal dualitys play out through both the more direct, dancefloor-ready tracks like “Guu Yuu” as much as headphone drifters like “trsx moon”, but generally soft and cushioned touch runs throughout the duration. Elsewhere on the more gradual “Get Up”, these opposing elements converge for one of the cassettes weirdest moments of fried 95bpm wobbles. Comprised of Sam Beatch (of Plays:four) and Sebastian Davidson, the interplay at work is explorative and often wonky, working through a handful of revised hauntological ideals like subtle field recordings, pitched down (and up) vocal snippets, disembodied gear bleeps and dream-drived keyboard melodies that never stick around for long that all leads towards a clean, intricate psychedelia. released January 6, 2015 Mastered by Jonathan Scherk Art by Peter Orlowsky ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

MCFERRDOG - Lawd Forgive Me (6:16) NYC’s boundary patrolling Bossa Nova regular and Chinatown resident Max McFerren returns to 1080p with his distinctly goofed out euphoria and hybrid techno on the "Lawd Forgive Me". Skewing his stylistic vehicle of steady floor/four techno with childlike glee, synth squiggles, big bass and wonky house signifiers, MCFERRDOG seeks precious moments in adult experience and hyper sincere emotive peaks, utilizing the familiar and nostalgic in dance music for a super confident hour-long release split between peaks and ultra-pretty melodic spaces between. MCFERRDOG seeks epiphany and moments of beauty in a thoroughly post-ironic mode of electronic music. Embracing unlikely and often cheeseball motifs of deep house, club and slicky retroactive techno, McFerren works from inside the social media prisons, exploring disappointments like the false return of religon, saying goodbye to reckless youth and apologizing for escapism. Opening track “Bless This Mess” is pure buildup, hellbent on bliss by splicing deconstructed rave vibes with a playful piano melody and splashes of a shattered static FX borrowed from grime. The record is littered throughout with hyperactive pitched up/down vocal snippets and those kinds of oddly displaced textural occurences; “What Justifiable Confidence!” starts out with repetitive half-second vocals pasted as beats before opening up into peaced out synth waves. “Lawd Forgive Me” has been described as a soap opera; it’s strong narrative chain moves through emotions as quick as browser tabs, getting lost and eventually finding peace in both participation and weirdness. released January 20, 2015 Art by Mason Lindroth Mastered by Evan Sutton ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Friendly Chemist - Mist/Haze (5:48) Raw, enchanted and heavily melodic hardware-based dance from a recent mainstay of Vancouver’s after hours club scene Friendly Chemist aka Jean Brazeau. His debut “Touch of Jupiter” is straight out of the Pacific Northwest and is blurred with a celestial, warmly sentimental take on classic elements of mid-late 90’s house and garage. “Touch of Jupiter”’s distant and dreamlike artificiality links that warm nostalgia for the jacked and energetic club moves with a distinct set of homemade textures and hypnagogic terrains, connecting with the higher energy from his live hardware sets full of breathing pads, marauding acidic bass lines, tonnes of claps, croaking MS-20 bass lines and DX7 vibraphone melodies. With classical training in piano and a hallucinogenic set of ancient yet futuristic imageries ie. vibe connotations of swamps, kingdoms, new planets, Myst, Tarot cards and a generally murky mysticism, Brazeau pushes into the present by combining these hazy, evocative moods with a strong focus on harmonic structures carried by a wide range of midi sounds like jazz fusion sax on “Visions From Yesterday (Saxy Mix)”, a wandering keyboard solo on “Trying 2 Find U” that is relatively delicate compared to the glassy, fantasy lead on the more jumped up, thick and distorted “Queen of Swords”. released February 10, 2015 Art by Sharona Franklin ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Project Pablo - The Feeling (5:48) 09. Project Pablo - It's Out There (4:28) Vancouver producer Patrick Holland aka Project Pablo’s house music goes breezy and back to basics on his debut full length and first release since moving to Montreal this Fall. “I Want To Believe” is a blue-tinged walk through Little Italy; chunky disco and hybrid house inspired by ultra-real types of smoothness like George Benson, Sade or Steely Dan (“Aja”, that is) and relocating perceivably dated cafe-culture styles of groove-focused house into a newly sincere context. Project Pablo’s bright and deep slant on easy-listening is built on sturdy but loose percussion, heavy bass grooves (some of which are provided by Jeremy Dabrowski of Montreal band Noni Wo) and insanely catchy/whistle-able melodic hooks. It’s traditionally funky but backlit with existentially spaced out textures and skewed by genre-splicings that spin cheesier elements into honest and at times meditative drifts, like opener “Sky Lounge” with reverberant synth fades on top a chunky 4/4 disco-influenced beat, or the downtime of “In The Mat” with a shuffled pace interspersed with pitched vocal “woop” snippets. Focusing on solid, functional dance components, “I Want To Believe” is scattered with taped out and wonky synth leads and punctuated here and there with goofed-out cappuccino clink-equivalents of cascading percussion and melodic keyboard flutters, blurring “lifestyle” ideals into rich, taped out moods for club and kitchen use. released February 24, 2015 Recorded / Mixed / Mastered at the Sky Lounge by Patrick Holland Art by Devon White ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Both of these cosmic-minded producers are based in London, hosting the NTS show "kestrel explorations" which shares a similar wider concept to this split cassette and digital releases; voyagistic and darkly cosmic ambient, electro and techno hybridizations. Their investments into this very specific realm of Sagan-ian electronica push forward with patience and an insane ear for the journeyistic in addition to looking back towards a particular ancient-ness and mysticism. The tape represents a personal interpretation of the majestic flight of the kestrel, infinite in its grace and poise. These two spirit guides lead you down distinct conduits on their respective sides, unified by a shared destination and each nourishing to the soul in its own right. Before Scientific Dreamz of U spirals deep into the cosmos with astral and often industrial-tinged techno mechanics on his side, Junior Loves begins “The Dreamcode” with a half hour of guitar-oriented zones of twisted daydreams and space-age meditations and with moves through trip-hop and out into dark techno. “The Dreamcode” entreats you to relax, listen with an alpha-wave mindstate and grow alongside us in this journey, crystallized in the ritual object you hold before you (or alternatively as low-entropy magnetic states within your local logic system). released March 10, 2015 ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Saffron’s hybridized genre builds include trip-hop, moody downtempo, sturdy walking-paced house and crunchy IDM with low key cinematics drifting throughout. A multitude of textures protrude from a general coating of slick motion and moods that hover above meticulous bass grooves and piano lines, blending an undisguised sense of proficiency and surface-obsessed sensibilities with sincere and overtly “soulful” tones. This blend of sincerity and aesthetics that throwback to millennial headphone electronica results in a disorienting yet smooth set of erudite beats and rhythms across both “Petra I” and “Petra II” Both of these EPs work as two different timelines that reside crisply as either languid backdrop or effortlessly melodic and rhythmic foreground; main modes of choice are lush, blue chillout house and piano-driven laidback but emotive electronica, shuffling with jazzy moods and downbeat signifiers. “Petra I” is built on strong piano contributions from Gregory Wikstrom and revolves around centrepiece “Blueland” which also features clear, strong vocals from Momo Ishiguro. Background orchestral fill becomes focal across these 28 minutes, and drum hits punctuate out of well pronounced consonants and collections of synthetic and organic textures blur for a lush imbalance between facades and deep cuts. SurfinG - It Doesn't Matter (4:59) Stoner house and lazy crystalline techno from NYC producer Peter Segerstrom aka Portable Sunsets. His new project Surfing rotates around semantic satiation and heavy, pared back, club muscle, pairing absurdity with insanely heavy techno for ten jumped up, raw and colourful tracks. This self-titled release was made with some eurorack gear, some Max patches and Peter’s voice, repeating a word so many times it doesn't make sense any more against a backdrop of blurry, erudite electronics. These vocals either ride along over ghosted house drift like “Glass Eye” (which somehow builds a weirdly imagistic and darkly comic narrative via it’s vocal repetitions) or serve as straight up rhythmic tool like the more punctuative “BBC” or mechanic and harshly textured “Warlock”. Percussion and basslines are focal but melodies occasionally creep out of the weirdness like Tiga's paranoid, crabby uncle. Surfing is for large speakers; a claustrophobic slow motion drag through the inside of a drum machine, where echos of Dancemania, Thomas Brinkmann, DJ Assault, DNA, Early Steve Reich tape pieces, Glossolalia, DJ Funk, and science fiction vibes ring out of the periphery alongside his own off-kilter humour and sly outlook. released April 7, 2015 Art by Colin Young ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Feingold - Offering (5:32) Montreal producer and Temple Records affiliate Adam Feingold follows up a killer 12” on Apron and pushes into new emotional and textural zones with “Nuff Zang”. Drawing from dub and ambient elements and a casual approach to zen, this 43 minute release seeks a mellow and serene place through more typically physically stimulating moods of hazy, jacked techno, spaced-out house and reverberant jungle rhythms. The tracks that make up “Nuff Zang” were made either sitting on the floor, standing up, sometimes half asleep at night or sometimes during the day, and the resulting tonal and vibe-al duality creates the feel that this is a record for the whole self. Set amongst the current stylistic familiarities of scruffy techno and after-hours hybridity, Feingold is lucid, subtly immersive and constantly focused on sounding and moving “up” , with even the more ambient zoners coming out bright and energetic and attuned to a split between club realms and home-listenability that ends up an exact yin and yang. Dubbed-out drone opener “Night of Scorpio” segue naturally into the big claps and duo-tone house of “Palo Santo” which in itself becomes increasingly jumpin’ with brittle hi-hats and additional bass groove kicking in half way. The same could be said for the monochrome rattle of “Don’t Fuck With My Chi” against the bright computerized textural “Zang” before the album closes out on “Offering”, a distant and incense-choked abstracted dub spot for the almost-vacant house party at 5am as much as the stoned Sunday evening. released April 21, 2015 ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Keita Sano - African Blue (6:30) Bumper 70-minute cassette of broad and weird cross-terrain hybrid house and techno from “left-handed” Okayama producer Keita Sano who spent his early years with Jazz and studied ceramic spinning for a short spell in Okinawa. Now he uses MPC, Electribe-SX, an old MTR, and a lot of effector to make music. Jazz music still inspires him, though this dense blend of electronics doesn’t bear so many signs of it other than a distinct free-ness and constant sense of melody. “Onion Slice” is a cut up jungle build-up to miniature epic synth swells; “Search” has a 100bpm reggae plod with crunched out reverberant drums and vocal snippets; “Escape to Bronx” takes on classic acid vibes and “African Blue” is a loose, percussive throwback club groove that harnesses the general ecstasy of Sano’s joyous experimentation. Noise is often present across this collection of moods and genres, coming to particular focus in harsh textural waves on “Everybody Does It” and on title track “Holding New Cards”. This compendium of recent work also muses on notions of general noise and saturation, relishing in maximalism with accomplished and innocence. released May 5, 2015 Art by Colin Young ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

SETH is half-self-conscious, twice as demonic. It works in another dimension, throwing a few shaky rope bridges when absolutely unnecessary. It's using time for all that it’s worth, not quite leaving any space to breathe. For their second album, released on cassette, this time via 1080p, SETH searches for a way out of a pretty nasty place it found itself in. Using the elements of darkness and light, SETH seeks a new shelter - lush and volatile, promising but not quite real. ‘This is True (Sunseth),’ the resulting mini album, is a brainchild of James K's glitter-tormented mind. Duo’s trickery and perversity shaped the actual sound, to reflect their meandrical relationship and feelings towards each other at that moment in time. Influenced by latin drum patterns, dj breaks and minimal percussion. “Ok”, her second release, is experimental edged and fervent in its constant cycle of rhythmic ‘eureka’ moments and subtle incorporations of simple melodies and textures, with aims of shaping techno into approachable, unstuffy music made for everyone. The 48-minute release leaves her previous MPC and Volca beats in the dust with the acquisition of a BOSS Dr. 202 (from Octo Octa,) that forms the backbone of “Ok” around which a range of spaced out samples orbit. Outros, intros, vocal bits and spacey synth sounds looped from old trance records mesh with the looser and livelier Bachata and Cumbia influenced rhythms to create a distinctly warm sparseness. Olson views this release as essentially an album of DJ tools, jacked on repetitions, mechanic grooves and a pallette of straightforward and sci-fi tinged sounds that essentially go very hard without obsessing over production. The resulting heavy club sonics are super live, get super weird, and draw you in to an introspective dance floor. CFCF - Return (4:21) Montreal’s established MOR investigator CFCF (aka Mike Silver) has been honing a specifically clear, gentle revisions and updates on the bygone luxuries of pop and new age music for years now. Following up the July-released “Radiance & Submission” on Driftless with the 41-minute long piece “The Colours of Life”, CFCF curves out into a incredibly serene peak of new sincerity, where Phil Collins “Hand in Hand” and once-ironic uplifters from the Windham Hill label serve as much as mantra as contemporary textural entrancers. The twelve movements within this piece build nto a story of the utmost realness, best told in Silver’s own words: “I started writing this stuff in the first half of 2011. I was living in Paris for a few months in a tiny one-room apartment with my then-girlfriend, and didn’t really have any proper music equipment on me aside my laptop. I was really getting further into some really cornball music like the Windham Hill label, and some of the outer edges of Innovative Communications. The song that really inspired the first iterations of ‘Colours of Life’ is “Hand in Hand” by Phil Collins, from ‘Face Value’. It’s a super simple corny song built on a Roland CR-78 loop and just the silliest pan-global optimistic tone. And I got into the idea of doing a record of music like that, that would incorporate a lot of this... more released August 14, 2015 Art by Bobby Houlihan Mastered by Josh Stevenson at Otic Mastering ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Litter on the breeze and foghorns blowing across the water. Sirens, porn stores, storage, prisons, dogs barking, carparks, fast food, highways, burnt out massage parlors, old tires, wire fences, empty buildings, bus depots, raw sewage flowing. “ Such is the bewildered ecstasy of abstracter Dialect (aka Andrew PM Hunt), who continues the “online mix”-like concept of his previous Tasty Morsels-released "Advanced Myth" with a darker but richer journey in ambience, texture, moods and grotesque beauty. Recorded near Red Hook in Brooklyn, Dialect became fascinated by the post-industrial landscape of the shipyards that reminded him of home in Liverpool. Gowanus in particular seemed distinctly American, yet in stark contrast to the iconic Wall St skyline which stood opposite on the other side of the East River. Gowanus was decrepit and decayed with razorwire tumbleweed blowing across cracked sidewalks erupting with weeds and dirt, empty billboards and huge elevated bridges looming overhead. It’s incredibly easy to hear these images in “Gowanus Drifts”, a 40-minute snapshot that exists within a drone continuum that for Hunt started with the psychedelic explorations of Gong, Cluster and Tangerine Dream (as well as a more formal strand of psychedelia made by minimalists such as Steve Reich and David Borden) but now extends into deep network music movements in online culture like ASMR, unboxing videos and Xbox gameplay recordings. Dialect treats his zither improvisations, field recordings and saxophone compositions in a sculptural way, deconstructing and reassembling them around each other with a loose fluidity. Angelic vocal presets rise from Dialect’s distinct, scorched FM synths as half-remembered Reichian loops drift in across the water, floating on a smoggy breeze. released August 28, 2015 Artwork: Thom Isom Mastering: David Berger ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Tapping into his Midwestern roots for fantasy jungle tape “Rory’s World”, imagination and naivety are processed into HD drum & bass with ears towards early Good Looking vibes and Cloud 9’s uplifters. Expanding on the pallette of his previous more straight forward Metalheadz-inspired cassette which zoned back to ‘95, this new record has strains of ghetto house / detroit ghettotech running through it alongside more recent genre blurrings. The more Detroit-inspired "Doing U Wrong" leads to the Dance Mania-style drums of the first half of "Dream Cast" and then laces things with spiritual melodies. "Sun" is a straight up 7am rave in a field, except the field is purely imaginary—more like a dream in the mind of some Midwestern bedroom producer archetype, splitting time between NES sessions of “Little Nemo’s Dreamworld” and Fruity Loops production binges. “Rory’s World” has the same wide-eyed euphoria of creation; his drum editing looks towards weird crossover ravey/breakbeat house stuff on labels like Nu-Groove and KMS, and with 10 years (on and off) worth of jungle proficiency, this cassette pulls back on the crazy drum editing and avoids being too techy or heady (“something people in Moschino can fuck with”) for a polished, dreamy maximalism. released September 22, 2015 Art by Nick the Duke ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Co La - I Comb My Hair (2:34) Baltimore’s Co La, the creative cloak for Matt Papich, fabricates a club music environment where solidarity and psychosis enmesh. Emerging from the humid undergrowth of 2013’s Moody Coup, No No gathers tracks built during the northeastern deep freeze of 2014: sonically these songs are clear & uninsulated: cracking. No No is a reflection of Papich's interest in the never ending psycho-drama that is the American news cycle (f5 syndrome), blanketed with a style of auditory/performative humor that operates as a coping strategy, a modifier for an otherwise oblique sonic world. Where Co La’s past work focused on rendering impressions of physical spaces, designs and objects into broad musical forms, Papich now turns his interest inward, investigating the sensual and emotional aspects of terrestrial life. The language is basic: a sneeze, a baby’s cry, an alphabet, the biting of an apple, laughter and screams. Despite the simple signifiers, No No is inscribed with content - it points to basic fears/desires and scrambles them, creating an oddly emotional & alien dimension, an action in Club music hitherto unknown. Simple inversion is a focal point of No No. Club culture categorically offers an escape from the real world for revelers. Co La, a seminal player in Baltimore’s experimental club environment, (Club Undo), regularly abstracts the party into intellectually confrontational encounters, be it a rifle scope aimed directly on his forehead or building temporary soundsystems out of zipcars. His recorded music and performances both play with listener’s expectations by inviting drama into otherwise Cool experiences. released October 9, 2015 Art by Bobby Houlihan ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Kirk the Flirt & Peter Pressure - Temple Grandin (7:21) Berlin-based Physical Therapy returns luxuriously to New Jersey for his debut on 1080p as two cool customers, Kirk the Flirt & Peter Pressure. The story goes that he first met the duo after seeing them DJ at Club One West in Englewood, New Jersey and after many pestering email, they agreed to send him some of their demos—the very tracks that would become this release (or so we are told.) These two NJ-garage devotees are not just DJ partners but long time best friends, born too late for the golden age of New Jersey house. This collection of eight Jersey-warped house tracks and acid disco edits reflect all the warmth and weirdness of their long standing relationship. Pulling from a backlog of unreleased works, these tracks survey the emotional swinging garage, strange house and distinct disco sound they had created. Across the ultra-up house of “Teddy Bear” to the smokey slank of “Never Ever Give Up” and the grinning extravagance of edits like “Poodle” and “The Eye”, the yearning for bygone NJ club feelings is as present as the urge to push forward. released October 23, 2015 Cover painting by d.hummel-marconi ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

These nine low key crushers loop with aquatic textures and loose, freeform sequencing, finding a particular energy between a familiar acid paradigm and broader frenetic sensations. A Slava performance was initial inspiration for the minimal set up itself, and Hoffman’s imagination was sparked further while subletting a room in tropical/electronic band Lemonade’s apartment and hearing them practice every day. Hoffman’s experiments are fluid and circular and come as a direct result of new experiments with a Korg Electribe. Palermo’s made a small handful of new age outings under his real name already (homemade CD-R mixes like “Enigmatic Ocean” and one , but this c58 is the first full realization of his ambient work to see release. “Clouds of David” is not only about looking back through Cocteau and Kompakt-types of filters, but also a sidestep back to his own days at university a decade or so ago where shoegaze and krautrock helmed his interests. Using mostly a Yamaha SU700, Palermo created these nine tracks in around two weeks with synths, samples and Komplete 10 plugins—no real guitars or piano, just drifting deep into both memories of Post-Rock, winters in his hometown of Michigan, metamodern visions of mono no aware and more general manifestations of seasons and sadness documented through iPhone lens. released November 27, 2015 ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Elka drifts with polyphonics, grumpy beatboxes, tape echoes, relic rackmounts and analog tape to combine solid drum machine rhythms and emotional atmospheres, finding a woozy calm through classic house construction, detroit and melodic techno cues. DJ Voilà - Parc Jeanne Mance (4:06) DJ Voilà (aka Simon Chioini) hails from Quebec, and this is his ode to a Montréal summer—a crispy and bright release that drips tropes from classic ambient/”experimental” genres into more club-based snippets. The primary mode of “Aimless Summer” is textural—the title praises Fennesz's Endless Summer, but also takes cues from Logos’ “Cold Mission” as much as it does Tojiko Noriko’s “Solo”. Voilà flirts with elements of grime and house inbetween the haze and atmospheric zones on beat-oriented tracks like “Some Jazz” and “Club Extérieur”. The music is based on recordings made during trips, some analog synths and a lot of DX7 on top. The mix focuses on a very sharp high end, which adds its own color to the blurry narrative and progression of feelings—summer, aimlessness, leisures, different weathers, different moods, time progression, climate progression, love, the everyday. released June 17, 2016 Mastered by Josh Stevenson at Otic Studios Art by Bobby Houlihan ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Complete Walkthru is a break from the intuitive motivations guiding McFerren’s past work. Here we find a more self reflective mood within more familiar electronic territories. House shaded with breaks, deep and wonky techno excursions, bright melodic loops and super weird, uplifting vocals make up these two sides and nine tracks. Focusing on preliminary investigations into the sounds specified by his reflections in storytelling and comedy, spirit is particularly audible in the effervescent touch Max brings. Project Pablo - Always (6:04) 04. Project Pablo - Why, Though (5:06) Four tracks lifted from Vancouver via Montreal producer Project Pablo's blue-tinged walk through Little Italy; chunky disco and hybrid house inspired by ultra-real types of smoothness like George Benson, Sade or Steely Dan (“Aja”, that is) and relocating perceivably dated cafe-culture styles of groove-focused house into a newly sincere context. Project Pablo’s bright and deep slant on easy-listening is built on sturdy but loose percussion, heavy bass grooves and insanely catchy/whistle-able melodic hooks. “I Want To Believe” is scattered with taped out and wonky synth leads and punctuated here and there with goofed-out cappuccino clink-equivalents of cascading percussion and melodic keyboard flutters, blurring “lifestyle” ideals into rich, taped out moods for club and kitchen use. released August 28, 2015 ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Max McFerren - Ya Bad Sister (4:35) 04. Max McFerren - Hard To Say (6:18) Max McFerren checks in for the third time (but first under his given name) on 1080p, taking risks and hittin’ on life over four tracks of weirded-out acid and funk-tinged elations on the “Sipps” 12”. Created in a time of complete uncertainty about the future in NYC’s Chinatown, McFerren explores the purity of the break and acid ecologies, utilizing a “take me to your dealer” type of alien funk vocabulary in order to explore and push his own voice into a stranger place. “Sipps” is a survey of sorts; synthesizing his previous MCFERRDOG tape frivolities and a more real life / real name club-based language with thoughts towards of figuring out what is the most “you” in your music are clearly audible; touching down to earth for the first time, trying to make friends, and learning about yourself in the process. released September 21, 2015 Drawings by Gobby Mastered by Barry at Alchemy Mastering ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Mall Grab - Drive (6:45) Heady, head in the burbs techno culminations from Newcastle, Australia and producer Jordon Alexander who dips back into an insanely prolific production spell earlier this year (and follows up an EP on Collect Call) with four new tracks. Mall Grab’s ethereality is shadowy, mixed with familiar night drive sensations and drugged out Strictly Rhythm vibes; mildly celestial “hella stoned” introspections that pay homage to old Three 6 Mafia mixtapes as much as more recent astral experiences in house and techno. Starting off with the faded menace of vocal track “Awake”, which builds in steps into heavy, lo-fi 4/4 120 techno, the EP moves into hazy, sweaty and pumping zones on “Elegy” and then to the b-side with the sunnier/just-woke-up feelings of “Never”, before blurring into the melodic drift of slow burner “Drive”, nostalgia-coated, hybridized and heavy all the way. released October 13, 2015 ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Earth Boys - Catch Life (5:04) Earth-based producers Julian Duron and Michael Sherburn touch down at 1080p with a massive 12” laced with timeless, chilled grooves. Earth Boys construct each track in a deep haze—vintage house, smooth jazz and breakbeats—compiling moody vocals and analog gear to create their signature, tongue-in-cheek sound. “Welcome 2 Earth” delivers a range of upbeat melodies and catchy hooks, slants on rising genres such as dad house, brunch house, and millennial jazz that come to fruition by placing fun as the keystone of their studio practice. Duron and Sherburn frequently collaborate on other projects—DUST, Christian Surfer, and Todd—and “Welcome 2 Earth” has collaborations from John Barclay (DUST) and Lemon D (Planet Earth, Metalheadz, Kickin Records). Also known for their eclectic DJ sets and regular parties at Bossa Nova Civic Club, Earth Boys blaze the streets of NYC with a serious mission, to get the whole universe high as hell. released December 4, 2015 ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Sasha Jan Rezzie is a classic house boy band from the future. Debut 12” “All My Dreams” is dense and loose and packed with distinctly stoned, romantic feelings filtered through deep house and progressive, breaks-inflected techno. "Paraworld" looks back to millennial downbeat realms and naturalist, ambient IDM; baked visions of sunlight passing through water and refracting many shades of blue echo an early 00's kind of instrumental peace and stasis. J Albert - For Soho (7:43) Four new loose and beautiful metropolitan house grooves from prolific NYC producer J Albert aka Jio Albert whose Mantra (as always) is to keep it simple, and of course, keep it “Strictly J”! In addition to the grime beats he’s been releasing on Soundcloud under the DJ Osom alias, Jio has also explored stoned jungle with a recent Black Opal release and a reissue 12” on his own Exotic Dance Records imprint. “Strictly J” is his scruffy take classic house on zones more into the Hot Music-Soho vibes. Characterized by busy percussion, off-kilter downtown beats, stops and starts, scattered breaks, and weirdly breezy melodies, these tracks are roomy def down for the summer. Interestingly enough, I was subletting Jio’s room last Summer in Ridgewood, Queens and was sitting next to him as he made some of these tracks while I worked my tech support job. He was listening to a lot of Buddy Rich, Bill Evans, and Jeremy Steig at the time. released August 4, 2016 Mastered by Paul Mac at Hard Groove ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Image Man - Goobye (8:04) Illusory house and techno from New York native Image Man, following up a release on crucial newcomer label Sunal/Perabob with another four-track 12” of live, windy, paradoxical tracks built from loops and drum machine, all recorded live. “Glance” shifts further into a weirded out and druggily decadent realm where he’s found looping the reflections of disco, soul and ancient pop samples into his own spaced and primitive euphorias, starting out with the slowmo downbeat of “More” before the more apprehensive rhythms of “Else” end up filtering out into a pool of a reverberant samples that echoes out the second half. “We trust in the sound we take for granted—the music wouldn't lead us astray, would it? Emotions can lead us astray, the wanting to feel, the wishing of foreverlasting, the pleading for change, the expectation of ecstasy. Just a quick glance in the mirror.” released October 7, 2016 Mastered by Rusty Santos ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

On this five-track 12”, the Brooklyn-based producer can be found tripping on ambient and investigating texture as much as percussion throughout. Discovering the abilities to sequence the Microkorg with Xoxbox changed everything, and these tracks take vivid form and are a logical progression from the previous polyrhythmic techno—footwork thoughts, avoiding 4/4 with simple melodies against landscape-like imagery. The five tracks on 'Night Gym' soundtrack urban landscapes; textured synths, heavy kicks, and dense polyrhythms come together to form the duo's own brand of outsider house. Citing influence from both minimal synth and Chicago house, Night Gym arrives hot off the heels of the duo's self titled ep on Dublin based First Second Label which closely examined the intersections that lay between punk and techno. Recorded in February/March 2016 in the duo's home studio, the instinctual nature of live work flow plays an important role in the duo's creative process. Utilizing hardware (SH-101, TR-606/505/707, Waldorf Blofeld, Juno-60, DX-21, MPC1000) in addition to sourced samples with final compositions compiled and manipulated in Ableton, Night Gym is an example of the duo's diverse interests and collaborative nature. The duo recruited visual support from Chicago based graphic designer Kevin McCaughey of NONPOROUS for the distinct imagery of Night Gym. As well he designed the poster that comes in the 12" and screen printed a limited run of long sleeve t-shirts available through Boot Boys Biz. released September 30, 2016 Art by Kevin McCaughey of NONPOROUS Mastered by Rick Essig, and final levels mixed alongside Derivatives at Selectors Records in Vancouver ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Аудиокодек: FLAC (*.flac)

Created during the spring/summertime of 2016, Sixth Spirit is infused with a sense of warmth and carefreeness based on current experiences, looped back into nostalgias of her first field season as a young scientist in Ontario. Finding more confidence and proficiency in his own abilities as a producer, Thompson was able to have a lot more fun and subsequently revise and update his sound to reflect his own tastes in records. The EP was made in one burst in Montreal over the winter and spring. On “Green Room", it comes down to creating what he wants to hear—atmosphere through dreamy or moody pads, layered percussive elements, to pay tribute to the euphoria of early rave music. released November 11, 2016 Drawings by Russell Maurice, Mastered by Paul Mac at Hard Groove ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Для того, чтобы скачать .torrent Вам необходимо зарегистрироваться |
