Only live performance can truly reflect the moment.
The ScullaMooks are a Melbourne based two-piece band producing on-the-fly, brain-melting psychedelia.
Their music is unique, rich and eclectic. The ScullaMooks fuse a traditional sequenced/pre-determined style with the natural spontaneity and energy of live improvisation.
This marriage lends to a life and energy rarely, if ever, found in Electronic Dance Music with a set BPM.
All samples, effects and bass are triggered or faded in ʻreal time ʼ.
The drums, kick and keyboard are played live. Nothing is quantized or beat corrected.
Nothing is over-dubbed. And above a ll this, everything is improvised.
This is how the ScullaMooks get their unique sound.
Real life breathed into the coldness of the digital medium.
Recorded over two separate studio sessions (dates), The New Mythology is the first official ScullaMook's release and is the culmination of an enduring musical partnership.

Stepping Inwards was a collaboration in the summertime of 2014 between James Woodcock (Jimmi-Woods) and Luke Horsfall (Dr Squiggle) that has now ended with the two artists focusing on their solo acts. Even though now defunct , the projects sheer quality demands its release.
Stepping Inwards is a journey into the realm of psychedelic techno. From the humble confines of the bedroom studio Luke and James chanted an incantation of the hypnotic, anodised with a layer of brooding intensity. As your hips begin to shake, the music proceeds to cross the blood brain barrier. Each track becomes a neuro-tropical landscape, comprised of deep tech rhythms accompanied by powerful peaks and enchantingly elongated sounds. As the music progresses from track to track this album is bound to stimulate your cerebellum and make you crave the call of the dancefloor.

Clouds Above Chaos “Cognitive Fault” is a journey into the ethereal and the esoteric, up to the interpretation of the listener. There is a loose underlying narrative to the album revolving around Terence Mckenna’s theories, specifically his description of the merging of man and machine and the approaching singularity.
"We had a vision of Terence Mckenna’s head affixed to the body of a giant mechanical spider, The “MechKenna”. Emerging from the pit amongst the smouldering ruins of a felled civilisation. It would haunt us during our sessions. These ideas were fuelled in part by our own experiments with psychoactives and the exploration of occult and dystopian themes and our experience with the intangible. Take what you will."
This album was produced and compiled from 2006 - 2014, recorded in numerous home studios and garages. We have used a variety of recording equipment both in the studio and out in the wilderness or underground. We have played various instruments, along with hardware, controllers, smartphones, a multitude of plugins, software and spent countless hours of production to get the end result we are happy with.
Clouds appeared as a manifestation of our combined mental health and substance abuse issues. This album is meant to be a psychedelic soundscape, a dark echo of the subconscious and uttering of a distant future, a voyage into the depths of our collective psyche; listening back through it all, we’re glad it happened but definitely never want to go back. This material is intended to be listened to under the influence, quiet or loud. We hope you enjoy the trip.

Five years after the release of the Kaos Dream, LazyboyProactive has become a sensational live electronic music act, combining progressive, tech and pop sensibilities with live vocals, guitars, synths and stunning visuals.
The second album 'In Space, In Time And In Life' which will be released in digitally in November 2016 is an epic conceptual album.
This album transports the listener into a sonic journey from start to finish. Composed like a symphony, in a 1-3-5 minor progression, all the tracks are linked through the chord progressions. With complex melodies and time signatures this musical masterpiece will impress the modern listener in this day and age.
The album although very contemporary and innovative in its sound production is also kind of old school seventies concept.
The albums features songs like Undermental, Runaway and Supersonic that have a pop rock twist and Electro house tracks like Glitched Monkey and Take this greed that will make the punters dance. It also features chilled out tracks like Parallel earth, Obsession and Future Species.
The eclectic combination of genres and styles makes the album take the listener through a journey In Space, In time and In life.

This material was produced and recorded in bedrooms, on mattresses, various friends living rooms, hotel rooms, home alone or in various spaces and sheds around Melbourne and throughout Canada. Using a diverse range of software plugins, whatever hardware/substances was available at the time and off the cuff production techniques provide a personal touch and uniqueness the strays far away from the realms of generica.

While the album has a strong progressive trance feel it resides in a terrain of it's own and maintains the signature feel of Phase 7 tunes - positive energy, driving bass lines and groovy beats.

dyLAB makes acid.
He is an English born but Melbourne based acid music producer. Described as a “box banger”, he likes to tinker with his collection of analogue synthesisers and drum machines.
He manipulates the sounds that come out of these machines, and shapes it into what some call essential melancholic dancefloor music.
This music should be listened to in dark clubs or darker rooms.
Over the past 10 years he has crafted a solid body of music, releasing tunes on such labels as Acid All Stars, Handmade Acid, BWLR, Council House Records, Clan Destine Records, New York Haunted, Balkan Records, and TRAX, in addition to his own self released work via his Bandcamp site.

Into the Outside is a tribal techno oblation; an exploration of mystical states induced by unbroken concentration on hypnotic aural stimulus.
Deep rhythm leads us in. Eyes rolled back, the trance is initiated.
Echoes of temple bells and crackling electricity can be felt;
sensory impressions of another plane are transmitted' synesthetically.
Each track is a unique and dynamic tale of living and breathing entities progressively revealing their presence to the experient.
The guiding force behind the music is the brilliant light which lies beyond the entry to our Platonian cave, yet still a seam of obsidian darkness permeates this artifact.
Jimmi-Woods' extant spirituality is always present in his work, and dictates the underlying concepts presented therein.
The medicament administered by the elder shaman is a mixture of atmospheres that float between tech infused tribal drums and psychedelic sounds, organically woven together.
Ancient tribal teachings and experiences are passed down from one generation to the next;
Into the Outside is a modern rite of passage presented by our beloved Jimmi-Woods and the Slice collective.

Geotech Vol. 2 is an eclectic compilation of Melbourne's underground electronica scene, featuring a lineup of Victorian producers who played at Slice's Geotech Nights at Bar 303.
This album is presented as a journey for the listener- a voluntary alien abduction and interstellar tour of the future's desolate wastelands to neon megacities, before initiating a descent deep into the subterrain to find oneself in the noisome vortex of the underground.
Geotech was a regular event exposing quality original underground electronic music in Melbourne. These gigs showcased emerging and established artists, with events focused on unique and producer-only lineups, on a smashing sound system at a fantastic venue, all with the aim of celebrating and supporting local artists.
Any funds received for this release go into covering costs for mastering and future events.
Thanks to Bar 303, Jimmi, Gareth, Tempest Recordings, Ben Heppel for doing sound, Zen the meteor man, Rafe for all the printing, all the artists who played at Geotech making the nights what they were, the VJ's, and very special thanks to those who came, watched and listened, and helped support the local electronic scene.

Jimmi Woods' latest release progressive techno EP “Biolume” displays a deep, bright and chunky sound with an all encompassing psychedelic feel. Progressive in nature and expanding on influences from 90's house, through to modern techno, dub, minimal tech and psychedelic trance, Jimmi's work offers up a synthesis of genres which is intended equally to facilitate an oceanic feeling and to promote contemplation. Featuring two incredibly deft remixes from fellow Melbourne Producers “Ear Mind Eye” and “Tok'ra”, adds to this EP's unique and original flow - Biolume has it all.
All profits made from the sales of this EP will go to WIRES Wildlife Rescue that will go towards the Catastrophic fires, the worst drought in history and record high temperatures are taking a tragic toll on native wildlife.

"Sigh" is the first EP from Ear Mind Eye of original psychedelic music produced between 2015-2018. Writing & production of these beats draws inspiration from the Australian Doof scene and often took place in the the aftermath of parties in an effort to transmute the experience.
Ear Mind Eye is the conception of Canberra based producer and artist Cristian Crowley: An audio visual alchemist chasing frequencies and UFOs with a head full of the occult. Creating his own style of psychedelic music for the mushroom to be consumed under the stars and out in the sun. Hellbent on generating gyrations, sonic excitation and sensory awareness by redefining his own idea of "rave". The dosage is offered up through a melding menagerie of underground techno, progressive, uniquely tripped psy, infectious beats & charged breaks.

From the archives of Staefn's favourite unique productions comes "Winter Silence"!
A 2-track concept release of Tok'ra / Psychoacoustic Vision's latest manifestation of wildly psychedelic and masterfully progressive techno, now available on Slice Records.
There’s something strange about the caustic breeze at the Swamp Carnival tonight. The smell of mould overshadows your thoughts as garlands of blinking lights float above and ahead of you. Regardless, you enter the swamp towards the sound of distant horns. The dense cold liquid supports your body as you progress deeper, confused by the mechanical sounds sporadically occurring without any discernible presence. Small vibrations in the swamp begin to generate waves, hitting you in the face and blocking your vision from noticing the giant machine breaching the swamps' surface.
Distressing sounds radiate from its presence, something doesn't sound right. Is it communicating? Is it conscious? What is causing these broken sounds? The premonition that something is not right grows stronger. You turn around but the swamp is too thick- you can’t move. The sounds get more chaotic as the machine gets closer; its' oscillatory messages are making less sense as your mind breaks down. Disorientated from the unceasing sounds you give in, sucked into the swamp, struggling to keep your head up to breathe as you are being slowly dragged under. Your eyes open momentarily to see the machine extend itself to encompass you, engulfing you and claiming you as its' own. Everything turns black and you feel warm.
Slowly, you descend into winter's silence.
Winter Silence’s dark textures evolve, layering slowly as drums pulse ominously in the background, becoming louder as sirens blare only to disappear into themselves as the acid undertones rise in its wake. Your thoughts burrow into tunnels as the pitter-patter of unseen footsteps are heard all around you. You pause to gain your thoughts, to find an exit. The siren returns once more, embittered, angry, betrayed. You leave the tunnel but the siren gets louder.Your only choice is to turn back and follow the trails the acid left behind. The siren is antagonised.
The tunnels contract and close on you; as if they are alive. Your fading consciousness realises with muted horror that they have been waiting for you, and in some manner have been willed into existence precisely in order to consume you.
Satiated, these sentient hallways of darkness expand once more, as the silence of winter descends once again upon the landscape.
