C/A/T began as an experimental electronic project and continued evolving until early 2005 when Arp settled on a hybrid of industrial and rhythmic noise as the main sound. How you possibly know me:
Crunch Pod: I founded the Crunch Pod label in 1998. I ran the label from ’98 until it’s closure in late 2011. In 2014, I transferred ownership of the label to Karloz.M of Manufactura. I currently have nothing to do with the management and distribution of that label so all inquiries should be directed to the label’s various methods of contact. In 2019, my project C/A/T signed with Crunch Pod. I’m just an artist on the label and thusly am not involved in the management operations of the label (aka – I can’t sign your band, so please don’t ask me). C/A/T: C/A/T is my main project and was started in 1998. The project began as an experimental electronic “noise” thing, but gradually morphed into a dark EBM project in 2009 or so. I put the project on hiatus in 2011 and briefly brought it back in early 2014. After taking nearly three years off from music production, I returned with a “classic power noise” live set in the Noise Room at the Das Bunker “DB21” 21st Anniversary festival in October 2017. I released a few EPs in 2018 and resigned as an artist with the Crunch Pod label for 2019 onward. C/A/T is currently producing rhythmic noise / dark techno music and is actively looking for live show bookings for Summer 2019 onward. Corvx de Timor / C/∆/T: Corvx de Timor (originally known as “C/∆/T”) was a post-witchhouse project I wrote music as from 2012 until mid-2014. I released a pair of albums on the Phantasma Disques label and a host of self-released singles, EPs, and album collections on my Bandcamp. In 2018, I resurrected the project for an exclusive track on the Telekon Slack channel “Telekompilation vol. 1“. In 2019, I released the first EP of new material since 2013, “Imber”. Corvx de Timor is currently producing post-witchhouse / dark electronic downtempo music and is actively looking for live show bookings for Summer 2019 onward. Captive Six / Ben Arp / Coverage: Captive Six was an instrumental electronic project that released some EPs on the Crunch Pod label. Captive Six is a retired project. I also released some downtempo electronic music under my given name in 2011 – 2012. Lastly, another side project I was involved in was called Coverage. I released a few tracks here and there in 1999 and 2000. Coverage is now a retired project. Turn Heel: I founded Turn Heel in 2015 as a site as outlet for my writing – specifically about pro wrestling. The site is currently on hiatus, but will possibly return to cover All Elite Wrestling once that promotions begins with televised events. Taking the aural and visual aesthetic of the obscure 1960s television show "The Prisoner" one step further, C/A/T creates a unique album that crosses genres but always returns to a rhythmic foundation. Somber melodies back dance-floor proven rhythms and accusatory and enlightening samples fill the remaining void. Also features a collaboration between C/A/T and Nein Recordings artist Epidemia. In 2007, he released all of the various tracks that he sent to that compilation series + one bonus mix as a free download. Due to the technology of 2007, he had individual mp3s uploaded to his, now gone, website. Thanks to Bandcamp, he is able to share these songs once again. These are all the original master tracks... which were mostly poorly recorded and never properly mastered. So, downloader beware. During my hiatus from music production, I lost the master files to all of the original CDR releases C/A/T did in the early days of the Crunch Pod label. While digging through some barely functional 15 year old external hard drives this past weekend, I found the original wav "masters" of these two songs. I've decided to throw them up on here on Bandcamp as an interesting flashback to the very early days of C/A/T.
