Hexing Vocals – Murderous Guitars – Overwelming Beats – Addictive Electronics – Vicious Visual – Challenging Lyrics Helalyn Flowers are helmed by eclectic Nøemi Aurora [Vocals/Synths/Songwriting/Programmings/Design] and polyhedric studio guru MaXX [Guitars/Synths/Songwriting/Programming/Production] Defined by the press ‘like an orgasm written as music’ Helalyn Flowers are one of the most revolutionary female-fronted acts in the Industrial Rock scene by performing a hugely unique combination of Goth, Metal, Punk and Electro sonorities marked by the outstanding vocal performance of N0emi Aurora, able to cover a wide stylistic range, from Pop/ Rock, Metal to even operatic soprano and madrigal and whom voice has been often compared to great singers like BJORK, SHIRLEY MANSON, MADONNA or AMY LEE. Raising from the electric suburbs of Rome, they shake the underground scene in 2006 with the singles “E-race Generation” and “Voices” which let’ em become one of the most explosive bands on Myspace and Vampirefreaks. This leads Helalyn Flowers to worldwide consents, including European major press, like Orkus, Sonic Seducer, Flash and Rock Sound UK as well as to the contract deal with Belgian indie label Alfa Matrix which released so far debut-album “A Voluntary Coincidence” (2007) and the surprising follow-up “Stitches of Eden” (2010) which let the band gain the status of “to the top of the scene” by :Ritual: Magazine in 2010. Also the same mag will acclaim Helalyn Flowers as one of the most important Italian acts in the contemporary scene.
After having shared European stages with Emilie Autumn, Das Ich, Gohtminister, Neon, Ataraxia, Theatres Des Vampires and Attrition UK, the Italian Metallic Electro Rock duo strikes back with the eagerly awaited third full length record “White Me In Black Me Out”, which might be seen as their darkest release ever. Mentioning the press, Helalyn Flowers keep surprising song after song on this darkly beautiful album by intermingling varied influences going from SISTERS OF MERCY to SKOLD or even MARILYN MANSON, KMFDM, THE CURE, DEPECHE MODE or even THE PRODIGY. Elements of Gothic Rock, Industrial Metal, Dark Electro, Synth Pop get fused with martial metal dance pop, gloomy moody Electro Pop Rock, tortured alternative style and toxic guitar style. This third LP remarked Helalyn Flowers as an absolute cult-band and many acclaimed the album as one of the most beautiful of 2013. Anno 2016, the Italian duo of HELALYN FLOWERS strike back at full force with the uncompromising determination of redefining our sonic foundation! Exclusive to this release, a brand new bombastic remix of “Alkaline Twins” can be heard as opening song.
Songs “Starchild” and “Videodope [Just One Day]” are among the very first the band wrote for the “White Me In Black Me Out” album. They shortly followed the “Stitches Of Eden” album while the band was searching for the sound that marks their latest record. You’ll hear how the 80s Synth Pop and Dark Wave influences of the second album cross a renewed approach ever close to Metal sonorities as well as to a gloomier taste for Dark/Goth and electronics.
Now HELALYN FLOWERS revive these two songs and give to the fans the chance to finally know what’s in between “Stitches Of Eden” and “White Me In Black Me Out” and to hear a bit of the evolution of the band during those 3 years (2010-2013) of stylistic research and refinement. So, they’re more than simple outtakes but important keys to the band’s current sound.
Another semi-unknown bridge in the career of the band is represented by the tryptich “Wide Awake” – “Apocalypse” – “Bleed”. These songs were recorded during fall 2008 and acted as a demo for the songs as the follow-up to the first album “A Voluntary Coincidence” was supposed to play. Listening to these tracks immediately you can hear much more Metal than in the debut release. Influences from North European Gothic Metal, Thrash, Groove Metal and even some Symphonic Black Metal are fully tangible and audible, still maintaining the band’s own trademark always recognizable in N0emi Aurora’s uniquely powerful vocal range and in Max’s aggressive and ghostly taste for riffs and synthesizers. “Wide Awake” was aired for a month or two on the main media before the band decided to not follow up that stuff. The highly melodic and surrealistic atmospheres of second album “Stitches Of Eden” (2009) are a proof of that. Many fans didn’t forget that briefly shared tunes and still today HELALYN FLOWERS receive requests of getting those songs officially released once and for all.
So, this new EP in some way is a gift for those faithful individuals who really loved and supported the band during their almost ten-year career. Also, it’s a pure and simple celebration of HELALYN FLOWERS’s music, apart from its temporal position. released September 20, 2013 Line Up:

This new revolted and heavy industrial pop song “Metropolis Necropolis” points out to what our cities have become: schools of dehumanization and death, titanic concrete and glass gravestones where mankind mechanically consumes its condemnation. A labyrinth of the absurd, an anthill doomed for neverending repetition… A devastated psycho-urban landscape where the HELALYN FLOWERS manage to blossom from the slime to create their own artificial Eden within the city walls, shout their disenchantment and disillusion, and raise as the incarnation of the symbol of the wise. “Metropolis Necropolis” has that intrinsic surrealistic anger that characterized the band’s early work merging goth punk attitude, revolted guitars, addictive powerful female vocals and hard-pop catchy electro keyboards, evoking some kind of a futuristic version of SIOUXSIE & THE BANSHEES on acid or other boosted LADYTRON on steroids… Straight, sharp and incisive, this stunning new song grabs your heart with energy and wraps it with a veil of apocalyptic melancholy. The “alternate” version of the title-song gives a more danceable twist while reinforcing its dense atmosphere, while still keeping the guitar work central amongst the bursting electronic machines. The EP ends up with a very harsh remix of the previous single "Suicidal Birds" by the infamous Belgian gang, IMPLANT who gave a noisy, grim and dirty dimension to this uplifting hi-energy nu-synth wave song. This new HELALYN FLOWERS EP was mixed and produced during phase 1 of the Covid19 quarantine, with a feeling of zeroing the future and living in an eternal present that has paid off to fulfill a beautiful artistic parenthesis that has continued the emotional axis of the new upcoming album "Airesis"… released June 5, 2020
