He was instrumental in producing projects like Moskwa TV, MCL, Axodry, RR and led his compositions to success also on an international level. Bands like Leatherstrip, Armageddon Dildos and many more had their debut albums produced by him, thereby establishing them in the music industry and bringing about their musical breakthrough. With its musical origin in the 80s, RR has developed into a serious EBM DANCE project in the mind of fans from all over the world. RaHen mixes his retro style radically and tough-mindedly with musical impulses of Alternative / Crossover and Electro. The messages of his lyrics refer to social developments in a world affected by increasing globalization, aggressive militarism respectively the forming of a military-industrial complex in the industrialized countries. The anger about the increasing and seemingly checkless destruction of nature and exploitation of mankind is expressed in the words. RR militates explicitly against triple oppression, i.e. multiple and simultaneous suppression based on sexual, ethnical and class specific affiliation (sexism, racism, classism). For RR, RaHen works with female vocalists, who upgrade the RR style with their own performance.

Both musicians already worked together in the early 80's on projects like Axodry, Moskwa TV and other incarnations as part of the "Sound of Frankfurt" scene. With the mega success of the first single “Rejekto” (1987) released by Techno Drome International / ZYX Records, RaHen and Talla 2XLC were seamlessly able to live up to the earlier success with Axodry. They used on this track some lyrics in Romanian telling a fictional short story about two Romanian musicians: Dumitru Constantin and Andrei Vasile. This was followed by other two top chart singles: "Umsturz Jetzt!" (1988) and “Confusion" (1989). Shortly after, Talla 2XLC quit to concentrate on other projects, however some also in cooperation with RaHen. For a short period of time, Kurt Ader joined the project and with RaHen produced the album "Cyper Space" (1990) including some new songs together with the previous singles. The misspelling of the album title is attributed to a mistake of the label ZYX Records. “Injection” (1990) and "Hangar 18” (1991) were the chosen singles published to support this album. A couple of other singles, “Density / Pure Control" and “Technology” (1992) came next but unfortunately with not a major success following by a hiatus of the band. After a long pause, Robotiko Rejekto made a comeback in 2012 with Ralf Henrich (aka RaHen) composing new music and touring intensely. In 1987, Twitch, who wasn’t known as Twitch yet, picked up a copy of “Rejekto” at Glasgow’s then numero uno import shop, 23rd Precinct. He was smitten. Shortly after that he got his first ever dj gig and played “Rejekto” in his first ever dj set. Nobody danced to it.
He kept playing it and still nobody danced to it. Eventually he gave up playing it, but never stopped loving it. A few years ago he felt the time was right to try playing it again and this time people danced to it.
In fact, people loved it and would ask about it and shriek in delight when they heard it.
There is often a lot of false nostalgia talked about in dance music and how it “was better back in the day?”.
Well, in some ways it was but in many it wasn’t and 30 years later it feels as if perhaps ears are more open, or perhaps “Rejekto” was just ahead of its time? From Germany, written and produced by Ra-Hen and Talla 2XLC, Robotiko Rejecto’s “Rejekto” was the inaugural release on the Techno Drome International label.
With a powerful and seductive vocal sung in Romanian it has latterly been categorised as EBM / Techno but at the time didn’t really fit into any convenient genre.
Twitch called it Electrobeat. To celebrate this 30th release on Optimo Trax, the 12” comes in a special sleeve designed by Katie Shambles and Andrew Beltran.
As well as featuring the original classic “Perfekto” and “U.S. Dub” versions this reissue features a slo-mo cover version by long-time Twitch friend and ally, the mysterious Frenchbloke who was the only other person he knew back then who also loved this wonderful record.
