A leading light of Toronto's fledgling electronic industrial scene, DHI (death and horror inc) formed in 1987.
The band shared the stage with prominent figures such as The Young Gods, Front Line Assembly and Alien Sex Fiend, and through the early- to mid-90s, their CDs were distributed around the world.
DHI's tracks saw numerous compilation appearances (both legit and unauthorized), while other material was flat-out bootlegged by the early 2000s.
In 2008, the group commemorated their 21st anniversary by remastering and re-releasing their entire catalogue, including rare, live and previously-unreleased work. These expanded versions of the band's two albums, along with the new Emotional Lockout EP, were the first authorized DHI recordings in a decade (available exclusively via download, on the band's self-titled record label).

The massive battering beats of these songs pummel the listener with scathing samples and violent programmed beats.
By the time that churning metal guitar kicked in at the end of the opening track 'Pain and Courage' I was hooked.
Song titles like 'Catastrophe','Rage' and 'Black Hour' paint a realistic picture of the sounds emanating from Bitter Alloys/Pressures Collide.
'Ninety - Nine Realities' is a pick of the litter with a killer mechanical beat that brings to mind some wacked - out mechanical matching band with a groove.
Quite a collection of mayhem.

DHI broke up in 1996 but their music still stands the test of time in the industrial genre of music.
Terror Serenity Devastation is a great best of DHI collection and still available digitally if you know where to find it.
Highly recommended for fans of fellow Canadian Industrial bands such as Front Line Assembly and Skinny Puppy
