Thought Experiment produces Ambient Music using a mixture of real guitars and virtual instruments, sometimes using generative software, sometimes using improvised performances as the base on which to build a track.
A lifelong fascination with sound and experimentation is manifested in my music.

Finally...after experimenting with longer form, mostly ambient tracks, I set out to make a full album of shorter, groove-based pieces.
Detroit Techno is a huge influence - I love the notion of combining the very human, earthy funk of Parliament/Funkadelic with the unearthly, robotic rhythms of Kraftwerk.
Of course, this is my take on that sound - no point in copying what's already been done, no fun either...
I'm very proud of this album - there's no story, no over-riding concept or even mood.
But if you listen to the whole thing, in the intended order, it will take you on a journey - some tracks are hyperactive, some are chilled, some are hands-in-the-air happy, some are menacing...some may even make you feel the need to...dance
