And I Forgive Myself (3:52) Right after my discharge from a detox facility and still high on the pink cloud most newly sober addicts experience after finally beating the withdrawals brought on by their drug of choice, I decided I'm Alone as an alias for my music was too pessimistic and didn't reflect the sort of life I wanted to live. I first began to treat my music as a serious medium for expressing the way I saw and interacted with the world around me in May, 2014 when I released Winter Moth shortly before becoming homeless. I'm Alone has survived with me through homelessness, drug addiction, depression, the death and loss of friends, guns to my head from people with and without the trigger discipline or lack of intention to keep their fingers off the trigger, a kidnapping, dopesick insomnia, amphetamine psychosis, heroin overdoses, family estrangement, those moving psychedelic moments that make you think if only for a brief moment that maybe you don't need to keep trashing your veins so you can avoid reality as long as your hustle will allow, a suboxone taper, rehab, and everything else that comes with the high octane life of having syringes litter your car 24/7.
