1. Joost Egelie - Flung Around Phobos From the album «From Mars to Earth», 2010 Written by Joost Egelie http://jegelie.bandcamp.com “When making a trip from Mars to Earth back home, you have to utilise every source of energy you can get. One way is to use gravity of other objects in the solar system. Though very little, the gravity of Mars’ moon Phobos can pull the spaceship into further acceleration. That is what I tried to translate into music here; you’ll see the ship approach, make its slingshot move around Phobos, and then watch it take off into space...” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 2. Nisus - B-Wave 2 (Improvisation in Dm) NSS©2013-NSSCN04-2 Released on 20131218 http://nisusmusic.bandcamp.com All music performed live and recorded by Evert Vandenberghe at the B-Wave Festival on December 7th 2013 at CC ‘De Muze’ - Heusden-Zolder, Belgium. All recordings produced and mixed by Evert Vandenberghe at Studio Skylight in December 2013. All music and sounds were improvised live on stage, with the sole exception of the drums which were the only pre-recordings used during the concert. All instruments were played live and no other pre-recorded tracks were used during this performance. Only volume changes of individual tracks and a few compressors were used during the mixing process of this production. No tracks or sounds were added, removed or changed during the mastering process. Nisus - Winner of the Schallwelle Award ‘Best Newcomer 2012’ 3. Yog Sothoth - Lost Paradise of Nan Madol From the album «Prehistoric Dawn», 2012 Written by Michael Wilkes http://www.yogsothoth.de “When I composed this track I was inspired by Nan Madol, an ancient ruined city on the island of Temwen near Pohnpei in the western Pacific Ocean. It consists of large pillars of basaltic rock and the legend tells, it was built by the Gods...” Yog Sothoth - Winner of the Schallwelle Award ‘Best Newcomer 2011’ Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 4. JampyKeys - Synth Freak From the album «Outer Limits», 2013 Written by Giampaolo Rolli http://jampykeys.bandcamp.com Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 5. Alluste - Winds of Terror Previously unreleased, 2013 Written by Piero Monachello http://alluste.bandcamp.com “This track is written to remember the Philippines hurricane (Winds of Terror infacts). Composed entirely using Propellerhead Reason.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 6. Vortex Mechanic - Amer by Amer Previously unreleased, 2013 Written by Alexey Markov http://unitedstudios.ru “Since the ancient times Amer was considered the smallest particle of space around us - as is the convention in modern physics: physical vacuum or simply ether. Amer by Amer is a understanding of what is happening, when from the smallest and insignificant occurs the building of something intagibly scaled.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 7. Syndromeda - Botox From the album «The Rise of the Darkness», 2011 Available on SynGate Records Written by Danny Budts http://syndromeda.bandcamp.com “Botox really got me in that pure Berlin School-style, normally I use different styles in one track, but this one is BS only, that’s why I called it Botox, as fat as... yeah... as what in fact?... ;-)” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 8. Vanderson - Journey to the Edge of the Universe Bonus track for the album «From the Bottom of Space», 2010 Not available on the original SynGate Records release Written by Maciej Wierzchowski http://vanderson.bandcamp.com Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International CD 2: 1. Loomeer - Asteroids Attack! Previously unreleased, 2013 Composed by Loomeer http://www.loomeer.cz “The track was created 1st Dec 2013 as a response to the airliners’ contrails, which I saw, photographed, and that looked really apocalyptic.” http://www.flickr.com/photos/loomeer/10906390045/ Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 2. Sayer - Helix Nebula From the album «Random Access Melodies», 2013 Written by Sayer Seely http://sayersweb.com “Helix Nebula was completed in the summer of 2013. I’ve always been a fan of Peter Mergener’s sequences and wanted to do something similar, but with my own spin. The biggest challenge was to get the many layers of sequences to play nicely together. Out of all of the tracks on Random Access Melodies, Helix Nebula took the most time and effort to complete...” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 3. Carlo Celuque - Berlin Walk Previously unreleased, 2013 Written by Carlo Celuque http://members.soundclick.com/Carlo+Celuque “The main idea behind Berlin Walk was to create a track that reminds us of some basic influences of the so called Berlin School. For that I created a bell like ostinato sequence which resembles to some Klaus Schulze album, lots of sequences à la Tangerine Dream, a lonely melody which takes us to the Northern Wasteland and I also could not forget to bring in some typical Mellotron sound so present in that music style. Everything was created using VSTi synths in 2013.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 4. Bob Hedger - Perception Part Two (Remix Edit) Previously unreleased, 2013 Written by Bob Hedger. Bob Hedger is also known as Jah Buddha Photo by Emeline Fotograff http://jahbuddha.bandcamp.com “The original version of this track was created to evoke the sound of those Tangerine Dream live Cathedral recordings from 1975 without copying any music. I got the idea after watching a french documentary called ‘Rock goes to the Cathedral’ about Tangerine Dream and Nicos infamous Reims Cathedral concert. This version is a remix with a more studio sound.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 5. D.W.B. - Dream of a Drunken Cat Previously unreleased, 2013 Written by Rocco Müller https://soundcloud.com/dancingbalthazar “Dream of a Drunken Cat is a part of a journey through our sun system. It’s a cosmical comic about a cat dreaming of the flight from Sun to Pluto :-). Electronic music is taken too seriously sometimes. So I like this cat - drunken and dreaming.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 6. grum-pe - Crossing Etherwaves Previously unreleased, 2013 Written by Maurice Gallagher https://soundcloud.com/grum-pe “I have been making music since 1999. The track was created in 2008. I was trying to create a high energy feel while remaining true to the classic style of 70’s EM, being implicitly influenced by the greats, but not directly by a specific artist. I make music for my own pleasure, not for any other reason, and I am always grateful for any kind of feedback.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 7. Frau Holle - Under the Surface of Europa From the album «Different Ways», 2013 Written by Holle Mangler http://www.hollemangler.de “Under the Surface of Europa is the first step in the approach of astronomic topics for German musician Holger Mangler and his side project ‘Frau Holle’. In the middle of the track a slow tuned down piano indicates the supposed ocean under the surface of Jupiter's moon Europa.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 8. WMRI - Sonic Aesthetics of Synthesis Previously unreleased, 2013 Written by Mike Winchester http://bc.wmri.ru “This track is based on synth patches partly programmed in 2010 and written in similar vein to later sequencer-melodic works, searching for aesthetics of dissonant and randomly timed notes.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International CD 3: 1. Erren Fleissig Schöttler Steffen - Ouddorp 8.1 From the album «Ouddorp Takes», 2012 Written by Bert Fleißig, Christian Steffen, Jochen Schöttler and Jörg Erren https://www.facebook.com/ErrenFleissigSchottlerSteffen Ouddorp is the name of a small coast village in South Holland and the musical trademark of four guys who met by chance and found something very special. “This track is as always, improvised, one take, directly recorded to stereo. We used a variation of the theme of Ouddorp 8 (the closing from ‘Ouddorp Tapes’, our first album), so we decided to call it 8.1.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 2. Exalot - Tanleg From the album «Memoirs Fiola», 2012 Written by Mikhail Exalot http://exalot.ru “A tribute to ‘Tangram’ by Tangerine Dream.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 3. Alien Nature - Phoenix Previously unreleased, 2013 Written by Wolfgang Barkowski http://www.aliennature.de “This track has been composed during the works on ‘The Airtight Garage of Jerry Cornelius’ album - but it doesn’t fit on to the other material of it. So I came to the conclusion to use it in another way - and here we go!” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 4. Nemesis - Garden Paths of Cosmos From the album «Living Statues», 2012 Written by Joni Virtanen, Jyrki Kastman and Ami Hassinen http://www.nemesisem.net The music material was recorded live at Parikkalan Patsaspuisto 14.07.2012 and in Winterway Studio, Kokkola July-September 2012. Production and mixing Ami Hassinen at Winterway, September 2012 Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 5. Mac of BIOnighT - Undetectable Fluctuation From the album «Fire on Mars», 2013 Composed by Mac of BIOnighT http://www.macvibes.com “I recorded the album ‘Fire on Mars’ during a time of very big changes in many areas of my life. The track ‘Undetectable Fluctuations’ represents the number of tiny changes that occur inside a person over time, which eventually lead to a large, visible change. These fluctuations continue even after the large-scale change occurred and keep adjusting one’s direction, in spite of their being almost invisible even to the subject.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 6. Fred Yargui - Mad Bird From the album «Unsorted Pictures», 2009 Written by Fred Yargui http://labo238.bandcamp.com “It was after doing the concept album ‘Unsorted Pictures'’ as for the first part of the album, the tracks were linked together as a suite, on the contrary second part would have been separate tracks, live improvisation; why the theme is ‘mad things’? Why not! Each theme is different, and different moods in them; finally long after the ‘Mad Bird’ song came ‘Mad Sky’ after ‘Mad Dance’ and ‘Mad Town’... rhythm, sequences, pads in loops and melodies.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 7. Von Haulshoven - Realizer From the album «A Taste of Time», 2013 Written by Eppie E. Hulshof http://smokescreen.beinggreen.nl “Realizer is the story about the holographic universe. To create something that is not real, you must know something about the holographic universe to understand this.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 8. Sergey Kolesnikov - Beyond the Darkness From the album «Early Dreams», 2012 Written by Sergey Kolesnikov http://unitedstudios.ru “...Came from nowhere and gone to nowhere...” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International CD 4: 1. Andrey Klimkovsky - Terrallende Previously unreleased, 2013 Written by Andrey Klimkovsky http://www.klimkovsky.com “The new track was born in the beginning of December. I tried to do one thing, but I created something else. It made me understand clearly, that it was exactly the thing, that was lacking in the project of the new album. The work on this album stopped due to revision of its content. Melodies, created by me, stubbornly didn't want to coexist, and something had to be postponed again... And I had to find a replacement. Composition with the Spanish title ‘Terrallende’ suddenly fit well in general canvas of the upcoming album. ‘Terrallende’ can be translated as ‘Outland’. For a long time there was a section called ‘Outland’ on my website, where I collected an interesting material, that didn’t relate to music directly, but one way or another is an important filling of my life. This section exists also in the new version of the website, but have not come to life yet. It waits for something - probably for my participation. But once the eponymous melody appeared, it means that ‘outland’ of my urges and night watches is soon to come to the designed orbit.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 2. Sequential Dreams - That Which Remains Previously unreleased, 2013 Written by Kuutana http://sequentialdreams.bordersedge.com/ “During the course of composing for the Cosmic Touch album, there is a point where there were two different directions I wanted to take for one of the tracks on the album. Thematically, this piece is inspired by our enduring spirit in the face of adversity. Kuutana means Moonsword - from ‘Kuu’ moon in Finnish and ‘Tana’ is the end of the work ‘Katana’ - the Japanese Sword. I have been a martial arts practitioner for 40 years and also always have been mesmerized by the Moon.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 3. Void - Avoidance II From the album «Avoidance», 2011 Written by Danyo Romijn http://www.danyo.nl/void/ Cover art based on ‘Temptation of St. Anthony’ (inner right wing of the Isenheim Altarpiece, oil on panel) by Matthias Grünewald, 1512-1516 Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 4. Michael Brückner - Fluctuation Number Two Previously unreleased, 2013 Written by Michael Brückner http://michaelbrueckner.bandcamp.com “Fluctuations Number Two is one of three related tracks which I recorded in early summer 2013, all on the same day and using basically the same sounds, while rehearsing for my concert with Tommy Betzler on the Schwingungen Gartenparty. However, these special tracks were not directly for that concert; one was an improvisation that I played especially for the radioshow ‘The Underground Äxpärten’ hosted by John Valk and Norbert Zumdiek. I had promised Norbert to send him a new track in time for his next show, but I was late and it was the last day to do so. The other two tracks actually were spontaneous birthday presents for one of my listeners, and a good friend. Their original titles were ‘Fluxus 1’ and ‘Fluxus 2’, however I decided now that the tracks are released to change their titles to ‘Fluctuations Number 1, 2 and 3’ (respectively). ‘Fluctuations Number 1’ and ‘... Number 3’ will be included in my upcoming SynGate album ‘Thirteen Rites of Passage’.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 5. Tangram - 0BC245 From the album «Repository 001», 2013 Written by Péter Fabók http://tangr.am Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International “I recorded ‘0BC245’ in 2 hours, in one recording session with Logic Pro. In that time I listened Wolfram Der Spyra’s music a lot. The title of the track refers to my birthday, 0BC245 is 770629 in hexadecimal format.” 6. Vortex Dweller - Chase Previously unreleased, 2013 Written by Ivan Kashchenko http://vk.com/quickstopgroceries “For a long time I’ve been a fan of retro-electronic, and I always liked soundtracks for old movies and serials, made by the experts. And as I create music for a long time, I thought - why not to try to make something by myself?” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 7. Isidro Castro - An Ending Ascendant From the album «Flightpath Vol. 3», 2010 Written by Isidro Castro http://www.musicasalolejos.com/isidro_castro.htm “This track was created in 2010 and is inspired by the great enthusiasm and admiration that I feel for the aviation and air navigation. To all those heroes who achieved and made possible the mythological dream of Icarus.” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International 8. SKAARJ - A Sunrise Over the Eternity From the album «The Human and the World: The Retrospective of the Modern», 2011 Written by Anton Sharoff http://www.underground.org.ua “This composition was written on a specially built computer under Windows 98 using Ejay Rave 96 software. I thought of myself as if I was in the 20th century, and with the sense of nostalgia for my youth I delicately arranged noisy samples in the 8-track editor :-)” Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International - Released by USC Plus www.unitedstudios.ru support@unitedstudios.ru Supported by SynGate Records www.syngate.net mail@syngate.net Supported by Borders Edge Records bordersedge.com info@bordersedge.com fooCDtect - foobar2000 + auCDtect, baralgin.
