In Yummy Yoga, we do not hold poses. We make gentle contractions of muscles and focus on the release. The goal is to re-pattern the nervous system so you learn to live with more relaxed muscles. Relaxed body=relaxed mind! The program is divided into two 20 minute sections: one for the upper body and one for the lower body. Additionally, there is a lovely relaxation led by Cheri Huber. This "Yoga" program is actually Somatic Movement; a gentle form of movement developed by Thomas Hanna-his enlightening and educational book is called Somatics.
