Tracklist:
01. Hilyard - Warm Night on the Cold Front (6:24) 02. tsone - A Strange Economy (7:06) 03. Hakobune - Catenary (10:44) 04. Ascendant - Drift Chamber (8:00) 05. Phillip Wilkerson - They Came and Were Gone (6:26) 06. Pillow Garden - Dark Moon Lullaby (10:53) 07. Bubble - Gumball (5:07) 08. Daschön - Eluded (3:23) 09. Opaline - Watching a Glowing Horizon Bend with Earth (17:30) 10. Twisted Perspective & Andrew J Klimek - It Was January (3:32) This album is divided into two 40-minute, 5-track halves—both a sort of mini voyage. (There is an intentional delay between these halves on the CD.) Both “Warm Night on the Cold Front” and “Dark Moon Lullaby” are epic and blissful (though quite different), slowly fading in and out, ebbing and flowing, with the most dynamic range on the album. (Track 1 is also the loudest song on the album, so if you set your volume during the middle of this track you are safe to lie down across the room Both tracks fade out slowly enough to allow you to fully leave your consciousness behind, before giving you a plush entrance into dreamland via “A Strange Economy” and “Gumball.” We then visit the more mysterious scenes of night, with the reverent “Catenary” and “Eluded.” Flying back on the wings of “Drift Chamber” and “Watching a Glowing Horizon Bend with Earth,” we drift in the heavens for what seems an eternity longer, before coming awake again. The dissonant elements at the end of “They Came and Were Gone” sound to me like the confusion of awakening from an unexpected nap, but they are subtle enough to let you sleep through. “It Was January” is designed to wake you up and inspire you. I encourage you to turn this one up, but it was placed lower in the mix just in case you planned to sleep until morning... A huge thank you to all the fantastic independent musicians who made this possible and fulfilled something of a dream for me. Also a big thank you to the radio supporters and those of you purchasing this. -Andrew J Klimek, Ambient Sleeping Pill Radio, January 2014 released January 31, 2014 on Stereoscenic Records [SCENE-1] ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Tracklist:
01. Gimu - It Has Just Begun (7:00) 02. Tonepoet - The Moon Shows Me How (4:55) 03. Marco Lucchi - Orpheus (8:39) 04. Lee Rosevere - Make a Wish (Sleeping Pill Mix) (4:51) 05. Ayan Das - The World as We Knew (4:16) 06. Microvolt - In the Stillness of the Night (11:50) 07. Carbon Sigma - Lights Fade in the Distance of an Empty Shoreline (12:15) 08. Purl - Childhood Dreams (22:22) This collection is a softer, almost fragile set of tracks compared to the powerful, soaring sounds of last month. I definitely recommend a lower volume setting. That said, the first four tracks are the “louder" tracks and the closing four are the gentler. I am especially pleased to present "It Has Just Begun." This is one of the very first submissions I got back in the autumn, but I hesitated on including it because it's quite noisy. I love this track too much though so I simply had to include it here. It makes for a huge, inspiring opener (and also the perfect 7-minute power-nap soundtrack). Leaving the grandeur of the opening credits, the first scene of this album finds us lonely on a rainy night, with the incredibly soothing guitar of "The Moon Shows Me How." Check out Tonepoet's album "So Gently We Go" for some more songs with this winning formula. The graceful, angelic ensemble of "Orpheus" takes us high above the storm clouds… Marco takes normal tunes and masterfully morphs them into crafts of beauty. We may be releasing a collection of these soon on Stereoscenic so stay tuned. "Make a Wish" feels like a hymn or elegy, and makes a perfect interlude between album halves. Lee performed both the remix and the original song, which appears on his album "Xeno" on Happy Puppy Records. He sent this to us unsolicited almost a year ago simply for air play. I wanted to included it here as it was the first song anyone prepared for ASP. We are gently and peacefully ushered into the serene second half with the beautiful pianoscape of "The World As We Knew." There is an amazing sense of hope in this which we need more of. There's a unique quality to Paul's music that I'm not sure I can put into words, but you'll pick it up as you sink into the lullaby drift of "In the Stillness of the Night." He paints scenes that are perhaps distant, wistful, friendly... definitely somewhere you'd like to be. If we weren't there already, the deep drone of "Lights Fade in the Distance of an Empty Shoreline" takes us into a deep sleep. The winds, full of fine, shimmering snow, create a sparkling view of the shoreline. The distant bell keeps us from feeling too isolated. We return home with the glowing, carefree "Childhood Dreams," perhaps a dream, perhaps the start of a new day. I'm very proud to be releasing this spacious track which had been lying around unreleased for far too long... now sharing the light... -Andrew J Klimek, Ambient Sleeping Pill Radio, February 2014 released February 28, 2014 on Stereoscenic Records [SCENE-2] ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Tracklist:
01. Erinome - Dawn III (9:49) 02. Not a Number - Mammoth Paths (7:23) 03. Purl & Andrew J Klimek - Anticipation (Bliss Forest Remix) (7:26) 04. Echo Grid - Insomnia (4:16) 05. Porky214 - St. Paddy's Daze (18:58) 06. Summons of Shining Ruins - Sleep Apnea Syndrome (7:11) 07. Nobuto Suda - Anim (12:47) 08. Niko Bellanti - Bird (6:15) 09. Saito Koji - Heavenly (Wake Up edit) (6:00) With very little ado, “Dawn III” plunges straight into a softly-distorted hazy grandeur. With “Mammoth Paths” Sadowski shares that he was trying to depict the long, blissful journey of a glacier, as inspired by Jacek Dukaj’s novel “Ice.” He has really captured this well, retaining some of the raw power of the sea from the previous track, but adding the frozen awe of this slow movement. “Anticipation” is the perfect name for the next track. Beautiful and hushed, with the occasional note of doubt. Perhaps the glacial journey has come to an end, and we’re left standing in a dense snowstorm. Cimbrelius did not feel this track was complete somehow, but gave it to me to do “anything I feel.” I’ve added some heavy compression to give a flickering, wind-swept feel, and also added some samples of my wife’s singing. “Insomnia” carries us away from the bitter cold, to enfold us in heavenly warmth. It seems we heard echoes of this angelic refrain in the voices during the snowstorm. But then… is this actually playing on an old turntable back home? “St. Paddy’s Daze” carries us off on an epic drift between these two levels, with 19 minutes that trace a graceful line down the loudness scale, ringing on ‘til the last light fades. It is a real joy to be premiering Padula’s work here, who shared this recording with me only because he’s a big fan of Ambient Sleeping Pill radio. I asked Nemoto to create something similar to his quintessential “Melting Loop Trip” which contains some of the best sleep-inducing tracks I have ever heard. It’s pretty difficult to imitate a past work, but he came up with “Sleep Apnea Syndrome” which has the same low rumble and jumbled, muted elements. Deep sleep indeed. Along with the previous track, “Anim” is mixed a bit lower in volume because of its subtle nature. As when you listen to recordings of the wind, higher volumes lessen the realism. Graceful, distant guitar drones with the gentle power of a wind sweeping above the trees or across the ocean. This song is from Suda’s new album “Terminus” on Stereoscenic. As with the previous two compilations, we end with a track that could be a magical dream, or a new morning, or a fresh start. Birds, bells, pianos, choirs… “Bird” is lush and dripping with fantasy. Also mixed lower because of all the crystalline highs, please do turn this track up if you’re getting up from an hour’s nap. * “Heavenly” is a bonus track included in the digital download from Bandcamp. The “Wake Up edit” is an excerpt of a 48-minute single released on Stereoscenic this past month. I’ve added slight processing as well. It does not appear on the CD version because it would not fit and is far more suited to waking up than sleeping. Mnemonic45 - Nervų Šakos (in 2 Parts) (8:28) “Fans of Kompakt’s Pop Ambient series or heavy droners like Stars of the Lid and Chihei Hatakeyama will find a lot to love on this latest comp from the Stereoscenic imprint. As advertised, it works fabulously as a sleep aid, or it could just as easily leave you hanging in hypnagogia, swimming in cello-y guitar wash, synth om’s, and your thoughts.” —Aaron Stein-Chester, Editor at Earbits released March 14, 2015 on Stereoscenic Records [SCENE-8] ----------------------- foobar2000 1.2.5 / Замер динамического диапазона (DR) 1.1.1 Для того, чтобы скачать .torrent Вам необходимо зарегистрироваться |
