Soundtracks can be funny things…sometimes a collection of random tunes and tones that while working with a movie, may be less effective on their own. Or…as is the case with Catalin’s expressive music here on ‘Art of Darkness’, tracks that each have their own identity, each working happily as individual pieces but all making up a coherent, stand alone ‘whole’ album. Each track is so strong in its own right, so expertly put together and orchestrated, that you soon forget that it is a soundtrack.
