We release digital albums and extremely limited physical editions of lovely music in nice packaging. Hidden Vibes started back in July, 2011 as a music sharing blog, focusing mainly on ambient and experimental sounds of lesser know artists and a small music community on last.fm. Further on, the idea of starting a netlabel with purpose to create a stronger platform for artists promotion has come. As a record label Hidden Vibes was launched on August 6, 2012 to share free music of ambient and near genres. All records used to be free download digital releases. Having released 11 wonderful digital albums, Hidden Vibes finally transformed to a more serious unit, offering nice limited edition physical releases. Not too sure of this distinctions between the two, but Through is some truly outstanding shit. Strings & reeds style lushness with dense dark sweeps of sound, some crackly Basinski rumble, cinematic mini-blowouts, all of this with a massive cloud of sadness that never leaves. Sakevych is playing like he knows true grief, his drones are choked up with a blissful despair that take gloom to the next level. This is the best kind of stuff, unbelievably gorgeous and overwhelmingly somber. Floating in the grey and rapt in heartache, while sheets & swells of euphoria shimmer in the dark, dragged to the edge of oblivion and left alone, regretting everything, hopeless. He is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and sound artist based in Nantes, France. His music is a mix between, vintage instruments, sound manipulations and field recordings, all primarily created with acoustic and analogic instruments. Teboul starting to produce sounds in the mid 90′s under the moniker of Embark. He created one of the first french net-labels named Acrylik, which was involved in electronica production and both digital and vinyl distribution. LE CAVALIER BLEU is inspired by Kandinski painting organization “Der Blaue Reiter”. As the Der Blaue Reiter Almanac essays and theorizing with composer Arnold Schoenberg indicate, Kandinsky also expressed the communion between artist and viewer as being available to both the senses and the mind . Hearing tones and chords as he painted, Kandinsky theorized that (for example), yellow is the colour of middle C on a brassy trumpet; black is the colour of closure, and the end of things; and that combinations of colours produce vibrational frequencies, akin to chords played on a piano. Kandinsky also developed a theory of geometric figures and their relationships—claiming, for example, that the circle is the most peaceful shape and represents the human soul. This release is a blurry vision of a tale where you could meet this dark rider overlapping his blue horse, enjoying great mountain landscapes and mysterious forests, colors and darkness. The tracks work together as a concept EP, starting at Dusk and going though the night until Dawn arrives. The four instrumental tracks take you on a vivid journey though the night with all sorts of musical exploration along the way. The EP opens with the chilling sounds of Dusk. The music moves slowly with various sound effects coming in and out. There is a massive surrounding atmosphere to make you feel like you are traveling down a deserted highway as the sun is going and and darkness approaches. The Northern Lights sees the music become calmer and chilled out with gentle spacey vibes drifting through. The Night Lullaby continues the spacey and chilled vibe while also taking on a more ambient feel. As the song progresses a gentle piano floats in while backed with some Pink Floyd-esq electronic sounds. The EP closes with Dawn. The bass drum sounds combines with the bright synth sounds provide a vivid feeling of the sun slowly rising from the dark. This is an absolutely beautiful collection of songs. When Amandus put together the setlist to this release he had a lot of tracks already finished, laying about. He decided to go with a drone theme this time around. The tracks on Transgression are mainly built up from multilayered synths accompinied with a lot of microsounds, statics, vinyl sampling, scrapes and minimal guitar textures, alot of these slightly hidden in the high register. There are some vocal patterns holding the melody in place, but most of the experience is built upon textures. The idea for the title of the third track, Reject All You Have Learned, comes from a quote of one of musician's favorite philisophers Emil M. Cioran. "Chaos is rejecting all you have learned, chaos is being yourself." This track is a lenghty experiment in which Amandus tries to give form to the chaos he experiences in life. This album really shines when you take off your headphones and listen to the tracks on a well equipped stereo setup.
