Some artists, in fact, too many artists write it off as easy promotion. But we really shouldn't be allowing ourselves to become complacent. Status quo only becomes status quo if we allow it to. Let's hit those dicksites back. A few artists noticed that they just scrape the webz for new music, especially the bigger name guys, so let's give them something that will amount to shit on their end while making a point to fans and everyone else that we give a shit. We planned to get as many artists on board to join a synthwave/retro synth compilation with all the tracks consisting of nothing but tape hiss/noise. The more we artists we got, the more attention to this issue we can get. Make no mistake, we're definitely trolling and being dicks, but we do have an issue that we'd like to get attention. Fans: please download this (doesn't have to be the highest quality, you can download as mp3s to save on storage) and please stream this album. Also, if you have a couple of hours to spare, or if you want to while you're sleeping, put the bandcamp player on mute and let the whole thing stream. Let's make it to the top of the charts and get some real attention our way. It's challenging but very exciting because every listener interprets my work differently." - Amplitude Problem Amplitude Problem is Juan Irming, a San Diego producer, composer, sound designer and keyboardist with a focus on synthwave, chiptune, soundtracks, hip hop, video game music and sound effects. Juan got his start on the European demoscene in the late 80s as the composer for world-famous and humble Atari ST demo crew SYNC, placing first in several demo music contests. Since attending Musicians Institute in the early 90s, he has composed and produced evocative, video game inspired synth and chip soundtracks for a number of projects and records, the most significant being his recent work for legendary geek rapper YTCracker's cyberpunk album Introducing Neals. Juan also writes piano, orchestral and cinematic themes for video games. Juan's notable influences include Rob Hubbard, Ben Daglish, Martin Galway, Maniacs of Noise, Damokles, Public Enemy, Kraftwerk, JM Jarre and Nine Inch Nails.
