Hello, New Team Martial Industrial is such a powerful Genre. So powerful, it deserves it's own section: Martial industrial: Stylistic origins = Neoclassical, neofolk, marches, industrial, post-industrial, dark ambient
New Team already has an "Industrial & Post-Industrial" for the general Genre of it.. "Dark Ambient" at New Team is mixed with all the Ambient.... but Dark Ambient is a completely different style that deserves to be more than generalized in the Ambient section. "Neofolk"... well, ok, it has it's own section... but it's located within a branch that has other styles that have nothing to do with it, in the "world music". "Neoclassical"...well, I think it's fair to say that this one is OK, I guess. What I would like to see is a new.... dark section. Something like: Martial Industrial; Dark Ambient; Neofolk (etc?) Once there is a dark, dark...dark section... maybe that will set the mood for releasers. Instead of just putting the Genres together within a branch that has too many different styles and moods... On a different note: I would like to see the name of the Country of the artist, next to the music style. For example: (Darkwave, Synthpop. Germany) Artist name - release name, etc, etc, etc As you can see above, the music style is divided by commas, which you already do that. But, the Country is separated from the music style with a "." - In this case, Germany, is where the artist is from. That's how I like it, anyways. Thanks for your time, and thanks to all you amazing people! You all are our saviours!!!!!!!!!!!!

l7u7l, currently industrial is a subdivision of electronic music. There was once an idea to separate industrial section, which sounds rather massive. Your idea is not based on some real large class of music, there's no such a term "dark music". Neoclassical is rather melancholic than dark. Dark Ambient is not considered dark by experienced listeners, but deep, volumetric and substantial. I don't familiar well with martial industrial, but I believe it can live well inside post-industrial or inside neofolk. There's no need in dark section. Country of artist is not always an obvious thing, this may be a discussional information. I think this is not needed.

Klorus X, Regarding the "Country", nowadays, I prefer to find out the origin of the artist, before I listen to the music. Regarding Martial Industrial; Neofolk; Dark Ambient: Dark Ambient can stay in Ambient, I guess... Martial Industrial... I think it's a too specific kind of music to be mixed with something else. If releasers ever take an interest in bringing a constant release of this Genre to New Team, it would make sense to have it in it's own name. To help you understand what I mean, here's a beautiful site that I like, but unfortunately for me, my priority is lossless.
I know New Team is more of a "everything" kind of site, unlike the site mentioned above, which is based on something more specific. But, progress can be made, if a section dedicated to this sort of mood is created. Kind of like: "Industrial, Noise, EBM, Dark Electro, Aggrotech, Synthpop, New Wave". It only takes interested people to make it happen. I just wish one day Lossless Group would be interested in this kind of Genre... it would be perfection...

l7u7l, this is underground genre and it will never have decent support neither from releasers nor from listeners. So a new section is mostly an impossible dream. How many releases can you count in this genre? 200-400-500? How many of them are already available - 50-100? Most likely not enough for new category, not even subdivision.

Klorus X, never say never ;)...where there is New Team, there is new hope. :D

- Gothic Rock, Deathrock, Electrogoth, Dark Cabaret
- Dark Folk, Neofolk, Martial Industrial, Ritual Ambient
